  1. No and NO on trading Harrison, Erceg or Peralta. To me those guys are conerstones of the future, unless we are getting a bonified ACE with years of control, I wouldn't even consider moving any of the guys mentioned above. It would have to be an offer that was so lopsidedly in our favor to consider it...
  2. Assuming of course, that Brinson is the hitter we all hope he is...
  3. Nice to see that Quintana, the guy they gutted their farm to get, gets hung with the elimination loss too... All is right in the world.
  4. No postseason team is complete without Mark Kotsay in CF. UGH! Hate it when this is brought up, just HATE IT! lol A dark time, a very dark time...
  5. Agree with all of that. And to be clear, in no way do I expect Braun to retire. More of a "what if" comment by me above. Same, I have no delusions that he will retire and leave all that money on the table...
  6. 1. Lewis Brinson 2. Corbin Burnes 3. Freddy Peralta 4. Brandon Woodruff 5. Brett Phillips 6. Keston Hiura 7. Luis Ortiz 8. Lucas Erceg 9. Monte Harrison 10. Isan Diaz 11. Jacob Gatewood 12. Tristen Lutz 13. Troy Stokes Jr. 14. Kodi Medeiros 15. Jordan Yamamoto 16. Corey Ray 17. Taylor Williams 18. Phil Bickford 19. KJ Harrison 20. Marcos Diplan 21. Trent Clark 22. Jacob Nottingham 23. Trey Supak 24. Josh Pennington 25. Mario Feliciano 26. Cody Ponce 27. Nathan Kirby 28. Nate Griep 29. Carlos Herrera 30. Mauricio Dubon
  7. Eric Arnett absolutely dominated in some of his starts for the T-Rats, but he also got completely obliterated at times too. He always seemed to be a guy who would figure things out.
  8. I'm hoping we can dupe someone into thinking he is a valuable trade asset.
  9. I hate to say it, but if he were to retire after the 2018 season, it would be the best thing for the Brewers. I have been a Braun fan since he came up, stuck by him through all the PED crap, but if he is only going to be a shell of his former self, it would benefit us if he were to retire before his contract runs out since I doubt anyone will give up anything of value in a trade. I'm all for giving him another year to see what happens, but my leash will be short... If he were to retire tomorrow, I think I'd be ok with that.
  10. Oh man, if you are not familiar with the 70's SNL skit with Akroyd and Belushi working at the restaurant that only served cheeseburgers, no hamburgers, you need to youtube it...
  11. Looking at his numbers, I don't understand why everyone is so enamored with this guy... 4+ ERA the past two seasons. Yes, he strikes out a ton of guys, but I don't think this is an ACE type that we truly need. Don't see any other numbers that scream we need to trade one of our best 2 bats for. What am I missing?
  12. It takes about 15 seconds to get used to the net being there, it doesn't effect the viewing experience at all. If it makes everyone safer, then I'm all for it!
  13. I agree. That said, much depends on what is available. Santana is good, but to get a TOR guy with control... I'd make the move, and roll the dice with prospects. We have Phillips, Brinson, Stokes, Harrison and Michael Reed in AA/AAA in 2018. Arguably, Brinson and Phillips are MLB ready in 2018. Reed could be a huge asset in AAA, alongside Stokes. Stokes had a huge breakout year. This guy's a legit offensive threat. The OBP and doubles were always there, speed was always there... now, he's adding homers. One of these guys could stick. Maybe Broxton rebounds. Is Stokes size an issue, the dude is tiny...Says he's 5'8", but I've stood next to him, he doesn't look that tall. lol The Altuve of the outfield?

  15. I think some are under valuing the importance of having Santana in our daily line-up. They guy provided a HUGE amount of offense for an offense challenged team the 2nd half of the season. No way I want him traded to be replaced by Perez/Thames as part of a platoon that allows Aguilar as our full time 1B. Where does the offense we lose with Santana come from in this scenario? I'm not a fan of Domingo's lackadaisical defense, but replacing his offense is NOT going to be as easy as some think, especially since odds are, he will be even better next season offensively.
  16. Man do we need the DH in the National league... We have 2 perfect candidates in Santana and Braun.
  17. I'm really hoping Braun is the odd man out some how, some way... Trading Domingo at his age and control better bring in a MONSTER return or I wouldn't even consider it. If he has another year like this one, the sky is the limit with his value, especially to an American league team. Trading Santana when we really don't know what we have in Brinson yet is a major risk imo. We know what we have in Santana, and I think he only gets better offensively.
  18. Braun at 1B talks again? I have the feeling if that was ever going to be an option, it would have already happened by now given our yearly struggle to find a 1B.
  19. I own every Tom Petty album he ever put out. A couple of weak ones, but in general, his body of work is tremendous. As good as he was, I think he will always be under rated. He will be missed.
  20. Cozrt sits a lot of games due to nagging injuries and rest. I had him on a couple fantasy teams this year, and it was one thing after another. 2017 he started 113 games 2016 he started 112 games 2015 he started only 52 games Looks and feels a lot like Braun and his issues... No way we can pay what he will probably demand and get a guy who only plays 110 - 115 games. Not to mention, he's a SS, not a 2B.
  21. In all honesty, Brinson is the guy I am dangling in a future trade.. He may never be more valuable, and hopefully other teams will ignore his injury history. He just seems like a guy who is never going to give us 140 games a season.
  22. Awesome news! Tales away the guess work in the future, now if they can only get their AAA affiliate figured out for the future. I can't wait to get them out of Colorado Springs.
  23. Don't have the date, but the walk off game by Thames where his team mobbed him and ripped off his jersey!!! Was there in person, and it was awesome!
