  1. Sometimes it's also young players maturing and realizing they need to listen and make some changes
  2. The outcome of this series was determined when Counsell chose Winker over Tellez.
  3. It's October 4th, 8pm, and I'm sitting on my rooftop deck in shorts, a tee shirt, no shoes, and I'm watching a Brewers playoff game.
  4. Yes and no. It also helps make it clear what the standards of proof are and exactly what evidence needs to be collected/presented, and what will be thrown out, so that the case doesn't tossed out on a technicality or get drawn out because a rich pro athlete can afford better attorneys.
  5. Bakh, Jenkins, Alexander, Campbell, and Stokes were out from the get-go. Watson and Jones limited. Musgrave gets knocked out with a concussion, JRJ gets knocked out with a sprained ankle. That's 9 starters who were out, knocked out, or limited, not including Tom who was questionable going in. No wonder they didn't look good.
  6. Ummm... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JajNxqQOlFg
  7. Guess that means Rea/Boushley/Andrews today, then they get optioned/Boushley gets DFA'd for ? Junk? McKendry? Lauer? Myers? Surprised at Small's optioning as he only went one inning. I guess that means primary bullpen day Saturday (Williams, Payamps, Milner, Wilson, Megill, Uribe, Chafin) plus two innings by someone else. Then Houser Sunday + whoever gets called up for Rea/Boushley.
  8. I'd move up for an OT in the first if all it costs is their second 2nd rounder since they have two. Anything more than that is too much to give up. Pro Bowl OTs have been found late in the first and 2nd rounds, and the team has too many needs to give up multiple high picks. Whether or not the first INT was a good throw is debatable - tough catches while being hit have been made - but what no INT does is at least flip field position ~60 yards the other way with a punt. Maybe the Lions score on that possession, maybe they don't. Love makes a better decision in the 4th and avoids the INT and it's a close game. Take 7 away from the Lions and it's 27-20 and GB has a legit shot with 4 minutes left in the 4th. Walker doesn't get that BS penalty on the FG and it's 23-20 and GB can tie w/a field goal.
  9. My guess is that Jones isn't 100% and that MLF was using him as a decoy. 5 rushes for 17 yards says he wasn't ready for a full workload.
  10. A couple of weeks ago, former Packer Mike Daniels said that (his teams) needed a guy like Walker. He said he would 10x rather have to tell a guy to calm down than try to light a fire under his butt.
  11. And we drafted the wrong Rodgers instead of the right St. Brown
  12. Anyone can look bad in a Joe Barry defense
  13. In the last five years the Lions have had: Two top-3 picks (Packers - zero) Four top-10 picks (Packers - zero) Seven top-18 picks (Packers - two) Six 2nd round picks (all in the top half of the 2nd round - total of 13 top-46 picks) Eight 3rd round picks Give the Packers those picks and they'd be just as good as the Lions.
  14. Who is playing guard? McCarren just said that Hutchinson's sack was working on John Rhyan.
  15. Dammit, SiriusXM is a couple of minutes behind ESPN Gamecast and NFL.com and no way to pause those.
  16. Last week Walker allowed one pressure in 55 dropbacks. Not sure what his specific pass block PFF rating is, but The Packers' offensive line leads the NFL with a pass-blocking efficiency rating of 93.9. Last week Walker had the second best PFF grade on offense at 73.2, better than Tom. I can't see the exact number, but PFF has Walker at #14 overall among OTs. At this point I don't see the need to give up a bunch of picks to move up in the first round for an OT.
  17. The Sounds used 39 different position players and 45 different pitchers this year.
  18. Yeah, they'll have Devin and Joel pitch once during the Cubs series but not more than once. Likely Saturday.
  19. On a side note, I would not have guessed that the Albany metro area is larger than the Syracuse metro area. Similar drive time from the Syracuse airport, about 1:40. The Syracuse airport is about a 2.5 hour drive from Niagara Falls if you want to combine both in the same trip.
  20. 'zactly. Get ready for a lot of Teheran, Rea, Bukaskas, and Chafin on the mound and Anderson, Monasterio, Perkins, and Taylor in the field.
  21. @Brock Beauchamp Agree w/Cheesehead on adding Shane Smith
  22. @Brock Beauchamp Agreed on adding Myers and Clarke. This system is deep. I think I'd have trouble going to 40.
