  1. Here is a link to the AP story via Yahoo! http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-mariners-sexson&prov=ap&type=lgns
  2. I found out that the kiddies broke the two USB connectors on the front of my 360. Fortunately, there is one on the back of the unit, so I'm going to get a USB 2.0 powered hub to connect to it. Joy...
  3. If you are looking to own a house, you may want to live in New Berlin. The taxes seem to be much better out there. Well... compared to Greendale they are ;-).
  4. I have a feeling the only thing Mota has been tipping is a couple of shots of Tequila before the game.
  5. From the article: "With the specter of a Sheets-Sabathia 1-2 punch forming up Interstate 90-94..." Either Milwaukee is about 90 miles in size, or they are rerouting I-90 through Milwaukee... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  6. Didn't Cleveland owe the Brewers a little favor because they used Miller Park last year? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. Would Seattle be willing to give up Brandon Morrow? I know Putz is very injury prone, but should be back the week after the All-Star break. Would this be an inexpensive pickup for another bullpen arm?
  8. I just saw Cody Ross' numbers from the Marlins' series with the Rockies this weekend. He went 12-20 with 6 Runs Scored, 2 HR, 15 RBI and 4 Doubles. He raised his average from .232 to .266. Dang... maybe the Rockies should trade for him!
  9. Was the press conference really fast, or is it delayed? ;-)
  10. There seems to be a link at brewers.com: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=mil
  11. Hi everybody, My computer started smoking looking through the thousands of posts regarding the trade. Does anybody have any links to the audio and/or video of the press conference today? Thanks in advance...
  12. I was wondering where would be a good place in the Milwaukee are to purchase some sports netting. We have a play system in the backyard that we can also use to put a net on. We would use it to practice soccer and baseball / softball. Thanks for your help...
  13. I'm currently a Software Engineer at a law firm. I graduated in '92 with a BS from Wisconsin. I ended up sending over 100 resumes out. I ended up working at Piggly Wiggly as a UNIX administrator -- this included writing custom code. 16 years later, I'm very happy with where I'm at. My point? You may have to go with something that isn't quite in the field you want to pursue. I would reiterate what many others have said: use the Internet job sites. Put your information out there and don't be afraid to use the recruiting services. The recruiters get their money from the employer anyway, so there will be no OOP cost (out of pocket) for you.
  14. I'll add something else: When a player is up to bat, please show his position on the field. Many times I'm curious what position a player is playing while they are up to bat. I don't want to have to wait until the Brewers are on defense. I know... I'm lazy.
  15. I thought it was hilarious how they pulled his shirt over his face. It just looked funny.
  16. I don't know if this was posted already, but if so, I'm sure wet noodles will be posted. I read the recap at Yahoo! This snippet was what piqued my interest:
  17. Oh no... here we go again!
  18. Crap! I'd better return my '08 model.
  19. I also wouldn't want to change jobs. Heck, I left here eight years ago... and they pursued me and hired me back!!!!!!!!
  20. After waiting the 8 weeks post-hernia surgery, I got my lazy backside out of the rack this morning and hopped on the bike. As I was on the Oak Leaf Trail, I went across a bridge I had gone across many times before. It is just west of Highway 100 south of Beloit. Google Maps Link I was wondering what this bridge was used for? Did the Root River Parkway actually follow that route before HWY 15 was upgraded to an Interstate? Just curious. PS: Sorry for using the word "Obscure." I could put in some Oak Leaf Trail stats, but they might cause angst amongst people at other boards. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  21. Holy crap! A poster on Brewers.com said somebody on this board was obscure? I guess things have gone to heck in a handbasket. Time to jump ship... LOL!
  22. LOL! I misread this yesterday and thought it said "Dillon." When I was watching the game, they showed him on the bench and my wife said, "I thought you said he was sent down." Not only does one have to throw strikes, but one has to learn to read too...
  23. Sure... it is the Old Plank Road... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  24. I thought it was Zito, but then I saw the value of the player is tied to his offense. What is Zito's lifetime average? ;-)
