  1. Freddy has been the most consistent starter and has made every start. With his 5-6 innings starts he is perfect for the playoffs. Can rely on Peralta more than anybody on this team, including Woodruff.
  2. Probably not enought to go around and have to always bring in new talent to replace the ones that retire. However, during the playoffs I am all for having the best umps from the regular season call balls and strikes. I don't really like rotating, have the best behind the plate. Just because you ump a game at third during the playoffs doesn't mean they have to call a game behind the plate.
  3. No reason to risk going to third down by 2.
  4. Every time I think Vaughn is going to start reverting to his old self he produces a big hit. That 2 out, 3 run HR was enormous last night.
  5. Disappointing to see that Black has been pretty brutal since being optioned back to the minors. Murphy is really going to have to work his magic with Black and/or Berroa getting a bunch of playing time this weekend.
  6. I don't think Miz can go off the IL until tomorrow since he was placed as of July 31. I can't recall a guy on the IL being listed as a starter.
  7. Not a huge fan of Seigler but take him every time over being stuck with Ryan McMahon.
  8. When Spencer Stider was 20-5 a couple of years ago he didn't get any first place votes and didn't really deserve any. He did finish 4th when he probably should have been even further down but think the 20 wins stood out. So I'll go with Peralta finishing 4th if he gets to 20 wins.
  9. It's been a long time for me as well, none here in Madison. Brings back nostalgic memories to 1987 when I was a kid waiting to get a burger with my Grandpa.
  10. Second time this year I have had a chance to wear my George Webb's 12 wins guarantee shirt that I received for Christmas. Hopefully a better result today.
  11. Maybe a bit forgotten now but a player they need for first three months and started the first game they won this season.
  12. I tend to agree, saying somebody won't be a star isn't really hating on a guy. The comment I would disagree with the most is "if the Brewers have their way, he'll only be a backup even by the end of this year" as Collins is the type of guy Murphy loves to play. There is no indication they would ever set a ceiling of only a backup.
  13. Tobias Myers pitches 5 scoreless against the Mets in an elimination game, we know he can step up. The Mets are the ones that should be worried about him.
  14. Don't let this sway you from coming to the ballpark, still room for you to see the best baseball team in the majors, Uecker seats, only $5.
  15. Can't say I recall ever hearing Rhy Hoskins being called Rhys Lightning. The list is okay but some obvious misses like Raptor (Brent Suter), The Mayor of Ding Dong City (Travis Shaw), Pineapple (Manny Pina) and of course the most recent King Vaughn (Andrew Vaughn).
  16. I assume you are talking about just in season trade, it's going way back to the '82 team but Don Sutton was traded for in late August and he won the last game of the year against Baltimore to win the division and won the game against the Angels when they were down 0-2 and facing elimination.
  17. Two arbitration years won't be cheap, sure looks like a tender at this point though with the rotating 1B we have had since Fielder left. When acquired it appeared like his arbitration number would be similar to 2025 but would think Vaughn is looking for a raise now. Still a bunch of game in the season though.
  18. Baseball Reference has the Brewers at over 20% to win the World Series. Still have room to be more optimistic.
  19. Miller is an easy replacement for McGee but will be interesting to see what they do with the two lefties. One of them will get the extra spot for September but do they just option Gasser? Don't think they would like to lose depth with a DFA of Zastryzny.. Maybe give Koenig a 15 day break prior to the stretch run.
