  1. Coming home from Florida for Spring Break so get to attend my first AAA game tonight. Will certainly fill the void of a Brewers off day.
  2. Garrett Mitchell plays more games this year than the other three years combined resulting in a 4 WAR season.
  3. There is reason to keep Collins, if they find nothing else he can stay but if they pickup somebody they just option him. There is flexibility with Collins.
  4. Looks like Ronnie Belliard in the back.
  5. As expected, Shane Smith made the White Sox Opending Day Roster
  6. Did they give any indication how they will "exchange an optionable reliever for a fresh one from Triple A a few days into the season" since they wouldn't have spent the minimum amount in the minors. In particular Patrick and Henderson. Is Uribe somehow going to get hurt during his suspension so they can be called up?
  7. Great news that it will be available to everyone. I know people tend not to own physical media anymore but it is also available on DVD on amazon for $20.
  8. Hiura's doing pretty bad in Spring Training but kind of interested to see if he could put up numbers in Coors Field.
  9. I actually like this rotation a lot in a long 162 season, it is solid. The bullpen is a strong suit as well
  10. I have an older teenager not quite college age yet but younger people do seem to like Shaq. He isn't gorundbreaking or anything but people tend to have fun with it, just want to have a good time.
  11. I would rather not the Brewers have to deal with a rule 5 guy. It's a risk to get rid of him but offer him a 40 man spot and add him to the shuttle.
  12. Don't remember Lehr pitching much for the Brewers but he played a big part in my MVP Baseball 2005 franchise, was lights out there.
  13. I would put the chances of Smith ever coming back to the Brewers as very low. If the White Sox get rid of him another bad team will take him, it's not like he is just offered back to the Brewers, every team has a chance at him before the Brewers. He is lost, move on.
  14. Last week I thought that lefty Bauers or Black makes the team and think that is the case now to start the year. Bauers makes the team and Durbin starts out in AAA. Not that it is a long term solution or will be productive but think they mantain depth with Bauers and Capra for now.
  15. Old school Brewerfan favorite Keith Ginter.
  16. It wouldn't be the first time they paid somebody a million dollars to play in the minors, his spot isn't safe,
  17. I know this isn't a Milwaukee Panther thread but since they are in Milwaukee like Marquette, that game last night against Oakland was a huge disappointment. I actually went to a couple of games this year and they were an experienced team with a lot of seniors so hoping they could make some noise but was not meant to be. They were a horrible free throw shooting team all year and bit them in the tournament.
  18. If Dunn ends up starting that is a all right handed bench. Maybe Bauers or Black end up on the roster but not sure how. Perkins really is a great bench opotion and will be missed early on.
  19. Would probably add a couple of bullpen guys. Ken Sanders, Chuck Crim and Mike Fetters come to mind right away.
  20. I'm already annoyed with the Oscars because Bob Uecker wasn't even included in the online in memoriam. https://aframe.oscars.org/news/in-memoriam
  21. Unless you really want to go on a road trip, the first couple of rows behind home playe of Wrigley Field are nice. Play in June. Target Field is farther away but also play in June on a weekend. Even Longer way to go but I visited Truist Park in Atlanta, they have multiple levels but if they say you can sit in level 2 behind home, that is another good place. Play in August.
  22. Except that Margot is on the wrong side of 30 and doesn't really bring anything to the table anymore and the Brewers have three very good defensive outfielders. Hope he doesn't make the team.
  23. I agree that Capra has an edge so that depth can be mantained. However, he better produce in small samples because he will likely be the first to be DFA if not getting production. On the flip side may get more opportunites if Durbin flops out of the gate.
  24. Pretty pathetic that Bauers can't even exceed Canha against RHP. Amazing that Canha's wRC is at 94 because his numbers look pretty putrid but that OBP really helps him. With Perkins hurt there really isn't a reason that Canha shouldn't make this team as backup OF/1B/DH.
