  1. I'm actually curious how you view them. It seems like this site has gotten traction with some of the articles written and Jack Stern is one of the best but forum activity is lacking. Are you getting more people to visit the site but the interaction just isn't there with the forums? I think the forums themselves are very old school with one message after another versus having conversations grouped together so they are easier to read and flow better.
  2. That's the thing, it is cut and dry. Sucks for the Brewers but umpires not given much judgement here
  3. It is not interference, just a dead ball and a strike. I know Rock kept on saying Bauers should be able to go to first but simply is a strike and dead ball. If the ump knows the rules, which he did, it is an easy call.
  4. Would appear Junk is an obvious demotion and Miley goes to the 60 day IL to bring up perhaps Paredes. They probably regret sending Koenig down but would need to get another pitcher on the IL in order to bring up. A lot of black holes with the position players. Wiemer, Dunn, Miller can all go down but not a lot of great option to bring up. Could always DFA Capra to select Hicklen but wouldn't expect much out of him.
  5. Close Call Sports is great at explaining rules and if the correct call was made. Even if you have been following baseball for a long time they give a solid breakdown of why the Judge slide is illegal.
  6. Thanks Rick. Been going to games there for twenty years but believe this is the first time getting these seats. Was a slow process but got in for $5 each with my kids, each got a tumbler and even sat in some decent seats during most of the game since it was a blowout. It is actually a decent option during these high demand games since it was a sellout and much cheaper than standing room.
  7. Depth is really lacking, they like to go with a 6 man rotation and that is pretty much their entire depth currently with Peralta/Rea/Ross/Myers/Wilson/Gasser. Junis as well pending his injury situation. I guess they also have Blalock in AA but don't think they want to go there. It's still April so will be interesting to see who they acquire either off the street or trade.
  8. The Brewers are fortunate Contreras isn't super 2 this season. I assume the Brewers will play it year by year with Contreras just like they did with Adames and potentially could trade him in 26/27 if they get a great offer. Contreras saw the big pay day his brother received and no doubt is being encouraged to hold out until free agency for the huge contract. I'll enjoy him while he is here, with a pretty good chance of him ending up being the best Brewers catcher ever.
  9. Gasser would have already been in the starting rotation if he didn't get injured in the minors. Could replace Wilson the next time that spot comes up or go Tuesday since Peralta always gets that extra day.
  10. This doesn't really relate to jacked up prices but does anybody know if they still offer Uecker seats, can't find anything on ther official site? Would like to know what gate to go to and when they start selling them. Was going to go Saturday night when they are giving away the Tumbler.
  11. It would be nice to get lucky with a youngish guy like Myers that can be a solid starter with a full 6 years of control. Could help ease the pain of losing Reese Olson a couple of years ago.
  12. Would think some of those veterans would have something in their contract that they can go to another team if offered a major league spot. Nice to see Lauer having a good start to the year.
  13. Great job by the pitching staff, did not think they could stop the Padres after the last couple of nights and Wilson starting today.
  14. Listened to Murphy's press conference yesterday and in short Murphy's response was did you see how well Peralta pitched last start on longer rest. So maybe that is the plan all year for Peralta.
  15. Have to give credit to Matt Trueblood already having an article up about him.
  16. Wow, you were not kidding, rough night for Gutierrez. Looks like they may have found something in Koenig, have not seen the last of him. Would be awsome if Myers earned his first win today.
  17. Tied for the Brewers highest winning percentage of all time at 5-0. Bryse Wilson actually has more wins at 7-0 but also active and at risk of losing a game today.
  18. Shortening the season doesn't honor Robinson's legacy any further. Would just be a sidenote to Opening Day. I love the way they do it now, April 15th used to be tax day but now view it as Jackie Robinson Day.
  19. I mean it is known Yelich is dealing with back issues.
  20. Makes sense to give Chourio a day off, has been scuffling a bit. Will be back Monday.
  21. It was known Mitchell wasn't going to be back until around June 1, he was going to be transferred to the 60 day as soon as they needed the 40 man spot. Got rid of Monasterio because he is hardly playing and Yelich is currently not available, don't see this adding more time for Frelick at 3B with Dunn playing the way he has.
