  1. I like baseball and gambling so I'll go with a player from the 1919 White Sox?
  2. I was interested in him last year but would pass now as I have no interest in watching more soft tossers with control problems. His career WHIP is just horrible.
  3. Bob Howry sure knows how to hold a grudge. Too bad he will always be known as the guy that gave up the home run to Braun on 9/28/08.
  4. That play was in his rookie year with the Padres.
  5. No, it is pretty much just annoyance. It is very rare for an April Fools Joke to be funny or clever and this is no exception, especially when the same person does the same lame April Fools Joke.
  6. Record: 13-10 Tiebreaker: 22
  7. Nothing left for Tuesday.
  8. A FYI to those that are on a budget and want to see a Bucks game, go their website and fill out a survey to get tickets for $.75 a piece to Wednesday's game against the Wizards. The survey takes about 2 minutes and it truly is $.75 a ticket. I'm not sure what the limit is but I ordered three tickets for $2.25 total.
  9. The Bucks might catch a break on Wednesday as they are playing a Hornets team with no Chris Paul that plays the Cavs the night before at Cleveland.
  10. I would stay away from any firm that bases its fee on the percentage of the tax refund as it is highly unethical.
  11. From the Brewerfan era Enrique Cruz, Noochie Varner, Chris Saenz, Ben Diggins and Tim Bausher stand out for me. WIll Inman is high on that list too if he never makes it.
  12. I was reading ESPN.com this morning and it mentioned that playoff teams are interested in Kurt Thomas for added depth and the Bucks are looking at a second rounder inreturn. Hope that works out since they do fairly well with second rounders and he's not really doing much here. A potential roadblock is getting a player back that would match his current salary as the Bucks don't want to take on added salary.
  13. I have to disagree on your assessment of Fatal Attraction. Glen Close did an excellent job and the movie holds up quite well. Just because it led to subsequent crappy movies of the same subject matter and spoofs doesn't diminish its greatness. I probably would have added Princess Bride to the list of the honorable mention. Also, Sally Kirkland was great in Anna.
  14. Logic would lead me to the conclusion that Leno will be just fine and bring in good ratings against the same old competition. However, I think this is one of the cases where you can't go home again. I fear this might be the end of the tonight show.
  15. Hopefully he goes in as a Diamondback. Griffey deserves to be the first Mariner.
  16. It would work well for McGwire. If he plays then he is taken off the HOF ballott and by the time he goes back on again at least a couple of guys who took steroids will be elected and he doesn't look as bad.
  17. I'm surprised about these results. I wouldn't have been surprised if Dawson was elected along with Alomar, Blyleven or Larkin but out of that ballot he definitely wasn't the best. Looking at the list for next year it looks like Bagwell, Blyleven and Alomar will be getting elected in 2011,
  18. Can Riske and DiFelice go on the 60 day disabled list during the off season thus opening two spots on the 40 man roster?
  19. I am going to be attending my first game in three years tonight. I have to admit that work is footing the bill because the Business Journal is sponsoring a speaker series with Mark Cuban tonight, but still I wouldn't be attending if Brandon Jennings wasn't on this team.
  20. 1. R. Braun 2. Y. Gallardo 3. P. Fielder 4. R. Weeks 5. J. Suppan 6. A. Escober 7. T. Coffey 8. T. Hoffman 9. M. Rivera 10. M. Stetter 11. M. Difelice 12. D. Bush 13. C. Narveson 14. C. Counsell 15. C. Smith 16. A. Salome 17. M. Cameron 18. H. Iribarren 19. M. Gamel 20. M. Parra 21. A. Heether 22. R. Halladay 23. J. Lackey 24. M. Byrd 25. C. McGehee
  21. I would definitely make a run at Lackey, he's a solid #3 that doesn't really get hurt, and then get another starter via trade. That would make a rotation next year of Gallardo, trade, Lackey, Bush, Parra. They probably still wouldn't have a true #2 but it would be much better than this year.
  22. Narveson has been pretty impressive since he got recalled. He has 1.35 ERA and .98 WHIP, a vast improvement over his initial run with the team earlier this year.
