  1. Good to see some of the lower level outfielders playing well. Was thinking maybe Joe Gray would get a promotion mid season but would also need one or more of Howell/Mitchell/Ward to get promoted to Biloxi then, all of them paying well.
  2. Would imagine Hader is a lock and then just depends which of the three starters they want and how much room they have.
  3. Woody= Ace of Spades Burnes = Ace of Diamonds Peralta = Ace of Hearts Love it! Just need an Ace of Clubs now. Well the Club has three Aces so will take it.
  4. I have liked prior seasons of Dark Side of the Ring better. Besides the Pillman one not real impressed this year.
  5. Just enjoy it while we have the trio. Wins certainly don't tell the whole story but reality says Peralta is the only one with a decent chance as a Brewer.
  6. It's just a guy throwing things against a wall but if I was the Brewers I would take it. If Bradley exercises his option he is guaranteed another $17.5 million. Add in another $15 million from the Twins and that is 32.5 million. Donaldson is guaranteed approximately $50 million over 2022/23 so Brewers are on the hook for an additional 17.5 million over 2022/23 which isn't horrible considering they have nothing at that position. Of course it would bump payroll up approximately another $10 million this year as well. Will likely never happen but a move that would help the club if they are looking to win this year.
  7. Nice to see Chad Sobotka finally playing for the Sounds. Good start by Lindblom with no walks.
  8. I have seen Taylor compared to Gamel before but Taylor has pop while Gamel really doesn't, would certainly consider Taylor an upgrade over Gamel. As mentioned elsewhere Garcia's 2022 option will likely become a mutual option with everybody getting hurt and lack of production from Brantley. With him turning 30 I imagine he would look for a longer term contract which should open more at bats for Taylor next year.
  9. Agree it was short sighted, especially since they DFA Godley right after. Should have figured out a way to option Bickford instead of the DFA.
  10. Things are looking up again, 17-10.
  11. Bettinger recalled as the 27th man today.
  12. Was guessing gentleman's sweep but hope they just get it over with today and the Celtics keep playing like they they did yesterday.
  13. Will be interesting to see who they bring up. Lopes has started at LF/CF/RF/3B/SS/2B in Nashville and should be good to go but believe he has to wait a couple more days to get to 60 days on the IL. Maybe bring up Hernan since they have room on the 40 man or the recently acquired Jake Hager who is already on the 40 man.
  14. Right, he doesn't formally have options but they could bring him up tomorrow for the double header and send him right back down because nobody will claim him with that salary.
  15. I imagine he hasn't seen his last inning as a Brewers this year. Because he gets paid so much they can kind of treat him like a guy they can option up and down whenever they want because no one will claim him and Lindblom isn't going to decline the assignment and lose all that money.
  16. Since they have some open 40 man space wouldn't mind seeing what Miguel Sanchez has to offer, another guy they can easily send up and down. Bobby Wahl is another guy once he comes back from injury later this summer. Wade LebBanc and Zach Godley are a couple of veterans that would require 40 mand spots but might get called up.
  17. I still cannot figure out why this is crippling to the Packers in any way? Sure, do they lose out on draft picks they could get for him? Of course. But what else do they lose here? They gain money. They've drafted his replacement. What exactly is so bad about him retiring? Because they could easily trade him for multiple top draft picks? Forcing him to play or retire and then him retiring is just dumb on the Packers part. Would they not free up money and get picks by trading him? If he flat out will never play for the Packers again, you trade him. Well yeah, but not crippling to the franchise. Rodgers is old, no matter what happens here he isn't long for the Packers.
  18. I know Weathers has been good and the Brewers can't hit but have a feeling loading up on the right handed hitters is actually going to work today and they score a few runs early.
  19. Just chiming in to say that you can still take water bottles in. Each person can bring in one sealed water bottle this season, I've done it for each game I've gone to. They stopped me at the home plate gate on Tuesday. Guy in front of me as well. Offered to dispose of it or let us drink it there. Did you already have it open, it must be sealed to take in.
  20. That is true, Lindblom may not be good but better than the next person so they shouldn't get rid of him until they have something better. Which may very well be the case right now.
  21. Wait a minute, so you’re going to release the guy, then trade away more talent to get some relief arms? Maybe they should have just kept Rasmussen and Feyereisen I don't know if the answer is releasing Lindblom but if you don't think the guy can be an effective relief pitcher then of course you should release him, it doesn't matter what other transactions were previously made. They had to trade controllable relief pitchers for a controllable SS. It might be easier to get a guy on a one year deal or a little overpaid.
  22. Kind of like the Adames trade which filled an immediate need I think the Brewers could pry Daniel Norris from the Tigers. He is making $3 million+ and the Tigers are horrible, isn't having a real good season right now but would certainly think it is an upgrade over Perdomo/Milner.
  23. Think he just went to DFA. Hes now allowed more free passes via walks/HBP than Innings pitched. Nevermind allowing hits. Doubt it, they have open spots on the 40 man.
  24. The Brewers really need a right handed bat and if they feel he is the best option go for it. I am happy no more Shaw at 1B against LH pitching.
  25. With Urias able to cover for Shaw and SS would probably go with Jace Peterson. Peterson isn't a good option but at least has shown the ability to get on base and can cover for OF if Taylor is indeed optioned. I hope they don't go with the depth move and option Urias while keeping both Peterson and Robertson..
