  1. I can understand why they extended Alex Gordon a few years ago when they still had a window but that is a bad contract for the Royals now. Would have let it play out the year as would find it hard to believe another team would pay Perez that much after the season.
  2. Still like Vogelbach better than the other two. Would DFA McKinney and hopefully he could clear waivers and be outrighted to the minors, keep Vogelbach and kick the can with Fisher by putting him on the IL and rehab at the alternate training site. If Vogelbach didn't show anything the first month or two one of those two could replace him.
  3. AEW in general has been kind of disappointing but yes that match was something else.
  4. Well they are both in the minors at this point so what does it really matter. If Ray doesn't produce this year he won't be on the 40 man. They didn't really a 40 man roster crunch this year or else Ray may have been DFA already.
  5. There is no enforcing, just honor system. Which sounds like a horrible idea. Around 70% of Wisconsin has a BMI of 25, so there isn't really going to be much of a need for an honor system. Close to the whole state is going to be eligible next Monday. Things are likely going to be somewhat chaotic at first. I hope people are patient. This is very true. BMI is a pretty bad standard and outdated but a good majority of Wisconsin residents will be eligible next week because of BMI and the other items on the list.
  6. I wished they opened it up to everybody at this point. Primary care physicians should make sure the people that need it are getting it but I am all for Walgreens giving the shot to anybody.
  7. Two strikeouts and a HR Sunday. Will be interesting to see what they do with him.
  8. Yes, I would have the game in the background the next morning while I worked from home.
  9. A 34% strikeout rate in AAA is pretty bad, 28% overall in the minors. Safe bet he would strikeout once every three at bats in the majors. However, his on base skills have improved a great deal moving up to AA and AAA and he has started to show some power so there is a chance he can produce at the major league level.
  10. From the author of will Lo Cain be welcome to the clubhouse comes another soon to be locked topic.
  11. He does but $2 million players tend not to get optioned.
  12. I agree that Reyes is a longshot for the opening roster. However with his options I would imagine he gets added to the 40 man sometime this spring to be called up and is optioned back and forth quite a bit playing a Hernan Perez type role.
  13. In a lot of cases, absolutely. But it won't be 100% of the cases, and if 10% of those people now buy a $30 meal in the stadium, that's thousands of extra revenue they had NO share of previously. They'll use the return of tailgating as the 'bone' they'll throw to those people: "We're excited to announce the return of tailgating to the Am Fam Clam parking lots in 2022!!!!!!! No carry-ins." For a team like the Brewers it would hurt financially and I don't think it is small. Right now is fine like oldschoolsnapper said but I do believe they fear a large dip in attendance if it was policy.
  14. I always bring in peanuts and water plus something to drink for the kids. I go to a lot more Brewers games than Packers or Bucks. Would certainly go less if I had to pay $4.25 for water. Wouldn't impact me much though if I could bring in my own bottle and fill up at a water station.
  15. Weird how JJ and his former agent are both saying they should ask each other especially since Josh was fired by JJ a couple of years ago. Also, kind of funny that Josh mentions on Twitter he is banned from brewerfan.net, had no idea.
  16. Of course Tom was wrong, not sure why anybody would defend him regarding that silly comment.
  17. I like the focus on pitching and defense. May not like it as much when they struggle to score but interested to see how it plays out. Have finally accepted that Braun is done as a Brewer.

  19. I think an additional month would help a lot but if they do start May 1 MLB would still be risking MLB games with callups. Maybe every team has a few players that practices/travel with the team, would seem to be better than having no AAA games at all.

  21. I guess I am not sure when the injury happened but if he didn't pitch at all then he would just burn an option and not go on the DL to prevent major league service time and pay.
  22. How do we get stuck with Tom H year after year providing no inside information while Robert Murray no longer covers the Brewers and still is the go to guy for Brewers news.
  23. Indians picked up Ramirez off waivers. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/02/indians-claim-harold-ramirez-waivers-marlins-dfa-jordan-humphreys.html
  24. My internet was getting too high so I went back to Charter and did the internet and what I guess you would call cable through their app. It is $107/month total after taxes and I can cancel anytime and just go back to just internet if I want. However, with all the streaming price increases I'm sticking with it for now and enjoying watching the Bucks again and eventually the Brewers.
  25. I think they are pretty much at that point of giving Black his last chance. Imagine he gets DFA sometime in the next month.
