  1. Corey Ray is #1 in the Southern League in HR’s, #1 in triples, #2 in doubles, #6 in walks, and #1 in stolen bases.
  2. More like third spot behind Boston and Philly.
  3. It’s possible that voters didn’t know about Aguilar’s stats because he doesn’t have the plate appearances to qualify for the batting average, SLG, or OPS titles - which makes it more incredible that he leads the league in home runs and is fourth in MLB in RBIs.
  4. In 2008, Yovanni Gallardo didn’t pitch between May 1 and September 24, and he pitched game 1 of the NLDS.
  5. There are four obvious spots, replacing Orf, Asher, Kratz, and possibly Wilkerson. Stearns likes having a 40-man spot or two for general flexibility, and what happens if they need a third MLB catcher in 2019? A few moves are needed.
  6. Definites to protect: Torres-Costa Medeiros Ortiz Supak Maybe: Derby Gatewood Perrin Ponce Stokes Bickford Kirby Segovia D Williams Lara Below Bickford on the list above, the players have value, but would any MLB team commit to putting them on the 25-man roster for a full season?
  7. Houser likely would have replaced Lopez today if Houser didn't toss 4 innings last night. I would expect Wilkerson to be the 26th man brought up for the Saturday doubleheader. Miley may start one of the games.
  8. Is there a rhyme or reason to when they promote Lopez or Houser, or do they just take turns?
  9. <<< I think there will be a fairly clear-cut top 8 (except for the usual outliers) - Hiura, Peralta, Burnes, Ortiz, Z. Brown, Ray, Phillips, Turang (assuming he signs). Then a somewhat consistent but wildly ranging in order #9-20 where you have Nottingham, Houser, Lutz, Dubon, and then what seems like half of the Biloxi team (Stokes, Medeiros, Gatewood, Supak, Grisham, Erceg, Ponce, Diplan). >>> Ortiz, Houser, and Medeiros should be grouped together.
  10. It’s not out of the question that he ends up in Colorado Springs, works out his hitting kinks, and returns to Milwaukee in September as a late-inning, left-handed, get on base option.
  11. Another question is whether Broxton or Braun deserves more playing time.
  12. It's starting to get worrisome that Phillips has worse stats in almost every category than non-top-30 prospect and same-aged Tyrone Taylor.
  13. Does Braun have more value than Thames or even Broxton at this point?
  14. Cobb’s contract is $57 million through 2021!
  15. Twins would prefer quantity over quality in terms of prospects. However, a decision has to be made on whether Miller's defensive deficiencies will be allowed at shortstop. Otherwise he may the full-time 2B.
  16. Saladino with a double and a walk for Colorado Springs tonight. Get him to Milwaukee now. Move Miller to second. Cain comes off the DL Wednesday. Yelich gets healthy. Broxton becomes the 4th OF / defensive replacement. Bring up Lopez for Zagurski. Now we've got a quality roster.
  17. It’s too bad the Brewers didn’t get to face Lance Lynn, but decent consolation prizs are the Twins’ bullpen getting beaten up again (due to his 1+ inning start) and the Brewers not being the ones to sign Lynn.
  18. Wilkerson can take several innings, and Harvey will be out. Let’s keep playing.
  19. On Baseball Reference, Broxton’s 2018 WAR is 0.7, after 2 games!
  20. It's sooo 2016 to discuss trading a guy right after a big game, but has a player in history boosted his value in two days more than Broxton has?
  21. When Saladino returns, Arcia likely gets sent back down. When Cain returns and if Broxton continues to play near his current level, then does that mean the end of the Sogard era? With Villar's recent struggles and Brad Miller a perhaps better option, is there a chance the Brewers do something with Villar?
  22. Who would have thought the guy with the highest WAR in the NL has been holding us back all year.
  23. Brewers have gone 1-2 in their last three games and gained 1 1/2 games in the standings over that stretch. That’s a rare occurrence in this division.
