  1. Money talks. If he could get a ridiculous contract and manage in NY, and his family stays in Milwaukee, I think he'd consider. I never thought he'd leave, but at some point, money can make people change their minds.
  2. What is everyone's take on Garrett Wilson rest of season? Luckily I went heavy WR so it's not killing me, but just wondering if it's best to trade him at this point. I'm kicking myself for gettin cute and not going with St Brown or Lamb. Of course if Rodgers doesn't get hurt it's probably a different story, but still was probably a risky move overall.
  3. Man I love that, if that's what they do. Looking forward to the game tonight. Anyone else get blacked out on MLB.tv last night like me? I couldn't figure out why.
  4. I think Rodgers has a really tough rehab ahead of him and I've never thought he was much of a grinder when it came to the working out side of football. I could be wrong on that. I know he works on his throwing craft a lot, but he's more yoga and stretching isn't he? I could see this being the end, but I hope he actually tries to come back. The Jets need a game manager that can also get the ball to Garrett Wilson. I'm not sure who that is but I don't think it's Zack. My trade candidates would be Winston or Minshew. I think I'd take Nick Foles over Wentz. Cam doesn't make sense, he can't throw. I honestly think Brady should consider. They are super bowl ready.
  5. Gross. If he takes Craig with I will be crushed.
  6. Tyler Algier would be a good one. He's going to probably lose carries as the year goes on, but right now they are as super heavy run team, so there is room for two RBs. Kyren Williams and Kenneth Gainwell would be the other two I'd look at, but I'm not sure either can be a work horse.
  7. I don't know if we need a full IL stint, but I love the idea of a couple games off each week down the stretch to get him rested. I'm all for trying it.
  8. Woody being Woody last night. Amazing. Let's keep winning Brew Crew!
  9. Geez I forgot about Tolzien!
  10. Agreed, no matter how far out a poster's opinion is, they don't deserve to be bashed. I'm very conservative when it comes to pitchers so I think it was the right move to pull him. Not only do we have a playoff race on our hands but the potential trade value he brings us in the offseason is also something to be cautious with. We need him healthy.
  11. How are we feeling about the Van Ness pick so far? Haven't seen a ton on him and I know he's a bit of a project, long term pick. Was just curious what the sentiment is on here.
  12. Boy this is going to be a wild one. I can't wait to watch and hopefully not get too stressed out! Looking for the Crew to set the tone tonight and get off to a good start. Wrigley should be electric!
  13. This is wild! What a fun game yesterday for the series sweep vs SD. This is going to be a fun/stressful series vs the Cubs. Stay hot Crew!
  14. Let’s keep it rolling today! It’s been a fun week.
  15. Running in to a buzz saw here. I too am hoping we can just get one game.
  16. I just came to say I'll miss him. He always seemed happy and having fun out there. I wish him nothing but good luck in his new place and hope he can get his mojo back.
  17. I also agree, I don't like the idea of letting them walk for picks. That feels way too risky and I want guys that are ready sooner than later to match up with our young guys coming up.
  18. These guys are being discussed all over the board but I wanted to get down to what everyone thinks is the best way to deal with these two. How do we both maximize their impact on the field for our team and also maximize their potential return in a trade? This would also include potential signing or extending them. They are two of the better talents we've had as pitchers and they've had a big impact on our success over the last few years. Unfortunately we are a small market team and we can't just let these guys walk, or over pay and then have them not meet expectations. Something has to give, so what's the smart move with these two?
  19. Let’s go!!!!! What a win and series win against the Phils!
  20. Taking your Packer homer hats off, how do you think this team will do in 2023? Do we think Love can be better than average for his career? I was impressed with the way he looked last year. He looked like he had figured things out. That said, I'm still worried about what I've seen in the past, a qb that would just throw the ball up when he was under pressure.
  21. I love the Open Championship! Anyone else a big fan? I picked Rory in my one and done league..... fingers crossed.
  22. Well Elly De La Cruz sure looks electric so far. I might have to tune in to some of their games just to watch him.
  23. Yes I'm a big believer in teaching them to spin away. Once they learn that they will have more time to stride and then react. Also it will cause the ball to typically glance off vs getting hit directly. I did this with my son and it took awhile. Now he's got it down. I also told him that if he steps towards third he's opening his whole front side to getting hit so it's actually better to step to the pitcher because it's easier to spin out. He still has some worries here and there on certain pitches/pitchers but for the most part is stepping towards the pitcher and attacking on most pitches. He's gotten hit the last two games but both did glance off and only one hurt for a little bit. Hoping that helps him mentally.
  24. Wow, 15 kids, that's tough. It's kind of a battle between mixing it up and wanting your best players to get the most at bats. But again, I always have to remind myself that this is about having fun. I try to put a new kid at leadoff each game, especially early in the year (we only have 12 on a team). I then try to go 4 or 5 stronger hitters in a row followed by a lesser hitter, and then a few more strong hitters. Again, hoping to string some hits together but also move kids in the batting order. I also will flip the lineup after a few games to get all the lesser hitters up at the top, again to make sure they are having fun. Last night I had a middle of the road kid ask if I could put him closer to the top sometime, I smiled and said, "you're hitting leadoff tonight, is that high enough?" It just so happened that was where I had him for the game! His eyes lit up and then said "that's too high!" I said "you got this!" He proceeded to start the game off with a line drive single! He was so pumped.
  25. Got back from our trip to Boston Sunday. We went to the game on Saturday and I had to witness the Cards comeback victory. Gross. Despite the outcome it was a fun game to be at. The stadium is amazing and I felt like I had a perma grin the whole time. You can just feel the history in there. My son had a great time and he even got to run the bases after. Parents got to go on the field as well to take pictures and videos.
