  1. Totally agree. I may have been on the lower end, but basically we agree in games . The real question here is what's the ratio of games he's blowing with his defense (1-2) to the games he's winning with his offense (?).
  2. Like four or five runs and maybe one win at the most. People overvalue the 15-19 errors that a first baseman makes. Seriously, they just don't get the error chances and the impact is at the beginning of the diamond most of the time.
  3. Would anyone be interested in a small contract for Sean Casey as a left handed bat off the bench? Comments appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Yeah.. Now that I remember I think you are right. I haven't watched Magic, Miracles, and True Believers (The Story Of The 1987 Milwaukee Brewers) in a while. I actually did think about if I combined them the other day. Still the greatest game I have ever been to.
  5. Handling Rich Harden is like performing surgery itself.
  6. I'm honestly not sure why some users continue to speculate that Escobar will play anything BUT shortstop.
  7. I think I would freakin' drool if Roy Halladay was a Brewer.
  8. I think I would freakin' drool if Roy Halladay was a Brewer.
  9. Agreed. I just hope he doesn't go to the Mets after all.
  10. We have a much better chance with Sheets. We'd be bascially back at the start of last season.
  11. If anyone has seen the coverage on MLB.com he looks to be practicing with the Braves and looks in shape. He was smiling as he was tossing around the ball with Chipper and looked happy to be there. I say he goes back to Atlanta and rebounds. They'll put his stance back to how it was, and I think his knee problems will be behind him.
  12. He'll always do down in Milwaukee as an utter disappointment, but he really did pitch well in September. I would bring him back too if the price tag was under 3 million.
  13. I'm not even going to go back to the beginning of the thread here. Our priority should be looking for pitching and we should pass on Dunn. Simple as that.
  14. I would do the deal including one of our catching prospects EXCEPT Lawrie. We just don't know enough about him to let him go right now. I also am of the opinion that Verlander will rebound this season though....
  15. Odorizzi not on the list is a travesty. Same with Gindl. I also think people continue to overvalue Cutter Dykstra, easily the most wild-card of the 2008 draftees....
  16. Totally beat me to that. If I can remember right it went like this: (Uecker's Call) "Gantner.....there he goes, and the pitch....a SWING and DRIVE TO RIGHT FIELD PUTTING IT WAY... WAY.... WAY.... (three times) OUTA HERE AND GONE!!!!!! AND THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN!!!! TWELVE IN A ROW, ON A TWO RUN BLAST BY SVEUM TO WIN IT!!!! OH MY GOODNESS!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????" Greatest video of all time: Magic, Miracles and True Believers - The Story of the 1987 Milwaukee Brewers Easily the best game I have ever been to. And who blew that save? Mitch Williams then of the Texas Rangers.
  17. Man, Carl Crawford would fit this team well.
  18. I cannot wait until this "trade Fielder" rhetoric ends once he hits like 40+ bombs in 09'. With a smile on his face I might add.....
  19. I'm not saying I want to go out and deal for Young or anything, but the statement above is completely not true.
  20. I would do 2 years 20 million. He would have received 12 by accepting arbitration. I also still don't think we've seen the best Sheets has to offer.
  21. I actually would be kind of excited about a Pedro acquisition. I'd say around 100 very entertaining innings though if we we were lucky.....
  22. I think Beltre would actually be a good fit, but Seattle wouldn't take on Hall's contract.... I also agree he has at least a couple of decent offensive seasons left with stellar defense.
  23. Ok....seriously. 15-9 189IP 177K's 3.91 ERA.
