  1. I'm guessing Weeks, Aoki, Lucroy all get tomorrow off. It'll be interesting to see who Roenicke throws into the cleanup spot and my guess is YuBet and this board will explode. Looking forward to it.
  2. Atta boy Luc.. get the kid a lead. Shafer with a good swing too. Wrong spot.
  3. 3) He also tried stealing third with two guys on and no one out. When telling this story to my brother when he gets home ... for folklore's sake ... is it accurate to say Segura stole 1st and 2nd ... and unsuccessfully stole 2nd and 3rd in the same inning and the Brewers didn't score a run? He did not steal first, that is illegal. He did attempt to steal 2nd base twice in an inning with only 1 PA (and not entering as a PH) But for folklore's sake please let it be true!!

  5. What is our corresponding move with a Aramis DL stint? Hunter up and Gonzo to 3rd? Halton up? When can Taylor Green be activated?
  6. His change up is fun when he is on your team. The strikeouts were nice .. but lets get get through at least 5 tonight!
  7. For whatever reason I'm feeling a disruptive (good!) night from GoGo as well... feels like a big offensive night for the Crew to me.
  8. No link other than twitter posts from beat writers but 15 day DL and surgery for Ludwick. All-star break return ... tough break for the Reds.
  9. Gomez did take a pretty big swing towards Luc in the post sac fly celebration ... but obviously it was just in the moment. The shaving cream in the face I thought was all in fun. Luc audibly said "Dang it" with a laugh as it was happening .. I thought it was all in fun. Didn't feel any bad blood in it.
  10. Interesting that Roache isn't on Brevard County or Wisconsin's roster .. I wonder if he is starting in extended spring?
  11. As an Appleton native, I approve. Taylor, Coulter .... waiting for Roache. This first half lineup is going to be loaded!
  12. McCalvy just tweeted that K Davis made the team out of camp ... which concerns me because now I'm worried YuBet is going to be the first righty off of the bench... and when Hart comes back with Gonzo there as well if Davis will be #3? If either of those are the case I'd rather Davis just stay in AAA and get 4 at bats a day...
  13. Not sure if it is what you intended... but my stomach dropped when I read this thread title. Felt better with the trade rumor bit.....
  14. Alex Rodriguez will make more this year than the entire Houston Astros' roster. Discuss. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9109596/alex-rodriguez-make-more-houston-astros-combined-salary
  15. I would think this marks the end for Johan. If so, terrible ending to a remarkable pitcher. Also, since there has been so much talk lately about the Brewers financial "problems" that are on the horizon with contracts... imagine being a NYM fan right now.
  16. ahh the old gotta see a lotta pitches cliche. Plenty of terrible hitters see a lot of pitches, Jason Kendall comes to mind, and plenty of great hitters hit the first good pitch they like. I consider seeing pitches to be one the most useless stats there is in determining a hitter's ability. Nothing annoys me more than watching a batter take straight as an arrow fast ball down the middle of the plate just because they never swing at the first pitch only to pop up a curve ball 3 pitches later. It wasn't a remark about the quality of the hitter but rather the type of hitter. I remember when Yuni would bat I wouldn't move from the couch bc I knew his at bat would be over shortly. A little nostalgia is all... carry on.
  17. Yuni with a ground rule double and a HR in his first two ABs back with Milwaukee... didn't see the pitch totals from his two at bats but I can't imagine it is over 3...
  18. I live about 5 minutes from the stadium so every spring lately is exciting to see what we get to start the year... I was hoping for one of Roache or Taylor .. but now that Taylor has confirmed himself I'm going to be greedy and hope for both, although Roache's stay would probably be brief (hopefully).
  19. First guy I've heard is OF Tyrone Taylor - 2012 2nd rd pick - via his own twitter feed. Tyrone T ‏@Ty_roneTaylor 2h Made the low a team! #timberrattler congrats to my teammates that made it as well! #letsgo #pumped EDIT: Just saw that you posted this in the other thread. My fault.
  20. I like that you did this work for me so I don't have to. How would you remedy this problem? Are you hoping Hart plays well enough to be traded at the deadline this year? Ramirez? I know we are getting a nice sized chunk of money from MLB in tv contracts beginning next year (25 mil?) so I think Mark A has a bigger wallet to deal from ... but what is your theory? (Not challenging you, just curious)
  21. I kind of disagree. To the fair weather fan ... if they don't know the name Kyle Lohse, they will love it when you say "7th last year in the Cy Young balloting" and "16-3". Fair weather fans will eat that up.
  22. At least those guys were likable. To be fair to YuBet... the hate was one-sided. Fans had a hate for him but he didn't seem to retaliate with anything but appreciation to the Brewers. I don't mind the move as long as he doesn't start. I'd rather have him as the back up until Hart comes back over Murphy.
  23. Exactly. I don't get all of the negative overreaction by half of the poster here. +3
  24. With a conservative estimate of $18 a ticket and a conservative estimation that the average fan spends $10 at the park each time around .. $28 x 27,000 = $756,000 .. or 19% of Lohse' 2013 salary. That's not a bad day.
