  1. They don't have a problem with Las Vegas? Where are you getting this information from? Evidence that the A's and 2 banks are planning to commit a lot of money to the new stadium in Las Vegas: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5965207/2024/12/03/las-vegas-athletics-stadium-costs-rise/ Again where are you getting that the Las Vegas stadium for the A's is in any danger of it getting paid for? Did you just make that up? MLB has been pushing both the A's and the Rays to get new stadium deals done for awhile now. How do you not know this? These are only a sample of about 100+ articles talking about MLB pushing for a new stadium. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb-tells-oakland-seek-relocation-214404413.html https://www.sportspro.com/news/mlb-oakland-athletics-relocate-coliseum-las-vegas/ https://www.kqed.org/news/11873231/mlb-tells-oakland-athletics-to-explore-relocation-if-no-new-ballpark
  2. I posted this in another thread but I would love to see the extra innings rules changed to a shootout style select 4 batters and you get 9 outs to get as many runs as possible with the home team deciding if they want to bat first or last. If no runs are scored it goes to a walk off choose 3 hitters and only 1 hitter can be from the previous 4 selected. In the walk off there are only 3 outs and strike outs count as 2 outs and walks are 2 bases. Team with the most runs wins the walk off. Home team always bats last in the walk off.
  3. No MLB won’t let them stay in Sacramento as it is not a MLB quality stadium. The A’s are going to Vegas. Manfred has already stated they are 100% going to Vegas. The only other option is to return to Oakland even though MLB has marked that stadium as not up to MLB standards. MLB had pushed for the A’s to leave Oakland because of an inadequate stadium, why would they allow them to stay in Sacramento with a AAA stadium? Either Sacramento would need to fund a new stadium or the A’s would have to build a stadium in Sacramento. I don’t see either happening. If the A’s are not able to move to Vegas they will be moved to another city or there will be removed from MLB as a franchise.
  4. This does have support or interest from the owners which is what matters more than online opinion.
  5. MLB looking to add a Golden AB. With this golden AB a team could switch a hitter with anyone who isn’t on the bases already. Basically a pinch hitter but anyone can be the pinch hitter. This would be a one time use only. So for example if the bases are loaded and Turang is up and Chourio is the next batter you could have Chourio bat twice in one inning. This is a somewhat dumb idea. But I like it for extra inning games. I would rather see a shootout style select 4 batters and you get 9 outs to get as many runs as possible with the home team deciding if they want to bat first or last.
  6. PC wasn’t a successful head coach. He was an average at best HC. If anything if the Badgers would have continued with PC I believe the program would be in worse shape than it is now. There would be 0 4 star recruits and the program would look more like a MAC team than a B10 team. The same with Leonard he wouldn’t be as successful in recruiting as Fickell has been. Leonard not getting a HC interview is telling on what everyone thinks about him as a HC. He just isn’t a HC a great defensive coordinator but not a HC. I believe the system is better off than some think it is. They need to get a good offensive coordinator so they actually have an identity on offense. The WR’s are actually rather good but a bit raw. Both the offensive and defensive line need to improve but I like who they have coming in next year. Linebackers need to play a bit more disciplined and when they have they looked really good. Better play on the d-line should help the linebackers. Going to harp on this again but a better QB would help this team tremendously. I am not even asking for a Peyton Manning here just someone better than Locke.
  7. Him transferring would be the best thing for the Badgers going forward.
  8. It is probably going to come out that Ebeflus didn't say anything and that is what Caleb was referring to. You don't want to have your rookie QB running and managing the clock at the end of the game. That needs to be ran by the HC. The HC needs to recognize that they are not getting to the line fast enough which is what Caleb was trying to do. The HC needs to call the timeout there and get a new play in to go to the sidelines and get closer for a FG attempt. Eberflus just froze and did nothing.
  9. The defense doesn't have to respect Locke throwing the ball so they can play up a bit and don't have to worry about playing back. If your QB is not a threat to do anything that means the defense only has to stop one thing and that is the run. The run is never going to work if your QB isn't a threat to either run the ball or to throw over the defense. Locke can't do either. He can't run and he can't throw the ball. The defense doesn't even need to pack the line they can play normally and when they see run they just go full out run stop as they know even if they are fooled by this the opposing teams QB is going to do nothing absolutely nothing. That is the game plan against the Badgers stop the run and watch Locke make mistake after mistake. It is a simple game plan for every defense against the Badgers.
  10. Locke is just so bad at throwing the ball and he can't run as he is like a statue back there. Defenses don't even have to game plan for Locke or even account for him other than handing the ball off or over throwing his WR's. If he does get the ball past the line it is either a lofted ball allowing the DB to get back into the play or it is 5-feet above the receivers head. He hasn't thrown an INT yet in this game but I don't see how Mettauer could be worse than what Locke is.
  11. He can barely step up to make a throw moving a statue out of the pocket is not an option.
  12. Locke continues to regress. I think he knows this is his last chance if the Badgers don't win today to start at QB at UW. He is still horrible at getting the ball over the line with three tipped balls already. I really wish they would demote him to QB2. I just don't see the point of running Locke out there over and over again. We know what he is and he is not a starting QB at a major D1 team. I don't care if the other QB is not ready they need to get him in the game as Locke is not helping the team win games he is a detriment to this team even getting close to a win.
  13. It is the same as being a Brewers fan really.
  14. That was a historical point as a majority of rookie QB's get blown out. Go back year after year and you will find maybe one or two a year that are not getting blown out week over week in their first year. Majority of the time a team drafting a QB in the first round and having them play in the first year are usually one to three years behind in actually competing.
  15. Both Nix and Daniels are looking very similar to Caleb and Daniels has been losing games for Washington with the turnovers in the last two games. Nix lost a 4th quarter comeback to the Chiefs on a similar play that Williams did to the Packers. It hasn't really been on Williams it is the HC and not Williams that is the problem for the Bears. Not sure what you were watching but Caleb played really well in the 2nd half. The Bears have been absolutely awful in the 1st half other than against the Jaguars, Packers and Panthers. The Packers game was the first time the Bears had a 1st half lead since the Jaguars game in October. This is a HC problem and not a QB problem. Caleb needs to work on some things but when he is not holding onto the ball for a long time he has looked really good. He hasn't thrown an INT since 10/13 I am not sure why you think he is not looking as good as Nix or Daniels. He has been looking really good since Brown has taken over at OC for the Bears.
  16. How many rookie QB’s are leading their team to late 4th quarter wins? He probably has had more chances than any other rookie QB in NFL history just in the last 4-weeks. I haven’t looked but I believe the majority of rookie QB’s are getting blown out week after week than they are playing competitive games. The problem is the HC here. If they play better in the first half it is probably an easier win.
  17. I get bored very easily and my phone is usually what I grab once I get bored. It is more of a habit than anything else. This is why I don’t go to things that I will easily get bored of.
  18. Yeah Bohm to the White Sox makes no sense at all. The only way this makes sense is if a third team would be involved and they were getting Bohm. Crawford makes some sense but I think the White Sox would prefer prospects only for Crochet and something better than Crawford.
  19. The QB position has actually gone back in time to where the QB is basically a RB who can throw the ball just that the QB’s now are more athletic and have better arms and better receivers a long with the protection to limit the hard hits.
  20. He is a good DT but he will need to improve on his pad level. It will probably take 2-3 seasons before you see any return on him. He is very similar to Keanu Benton and a better version of Gervon Dexter coming out of college in terms of pass rushing but he is worse at tackling. Tackling and his pad level are his biggest concerns. Though he is probably a late to mid first round selection or an early second round depending on how he performs at the combine.
  21. But this has been a problem before Fickell got here at least on the offensive side of the ball. With PC there was very little to no improvement anywhere and most regressed or got worse than when they came to the program. Allen didn’t even improve all that much year over year with PC as the HC. The OL kept on getting worse and worse after year 2 or 3 under PC. The only thing that stayed constant for the Badgers was the defense. There was also very little to no improvement on the defensive line for a while. There were warts and issues under Leonard that were popping up. The D-line being the biggest problem. I can’t remember anyone on the D-line making much if any improvements year over year during PC’s reign as the HC. It was a talent issue but at some point there should have been a few players who could have been coached up a bit and I can’t remember a single one. The D-line has been a problem since PC took the job and probably a bit before that.
  22. If you have a QB that can play under center sure run that but majority of HS QB’s will be running some kind of spread offense. Nearly all of Carter Smith’s snaps at HS came from the shotgun. Majority of your top recruits are going to be used to that than being under center.
  23. Up 11 with only about 2 minutes left should be an automatic W. Though the Vikings are going to win anyways.
  24. The Bucks are still missing Middleton and there still isn’t any news on when he will return. It is looking like it will be later in the season possibly after the All Star game. This is really concerning with Middleton and I am not sure he will be the same player.
  25. Carter Smith commits to the Badgers.
