  1. I actually dropped Dish back in Feb sometime. MLB TV was just getting started and was NOT on Dish at that time. Not sure about now...
  2. I've had the same thing near LaCrosse with Dish (Brewers/Bucks games, but Twins FSN normal). My parents have the same near Superior and strangest of all, my brother has the same in Grand Rapids, MN! I really don't understand how he gets Brewers/Bucks games (and not Twins) in MN.
  3. "Is it time to question Bill Castro?" All right Bill, where were you on the night of April 12th and how could you leave in a pitcher to walk three in three straight runs? Then you replace him with your worst BP pitcher to walk in a fourth... Do you deny this? We have witnesses!
  4. I generally drink Mountain Dew, but that is bottled in Watertown, so its still WI.
  5. I kept having to check the internet to see if they switched pitchers... I can't believe Snell is still pitching, though... They must REALLY want this game...
  6. Well, Sheets couldn't do that... Yo does it all! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  7. Anyone know how many minor league no-hitters Brewer's pitchers have thrown? Obviously, we have Anundsen and Parra's. Any others? If only we could add a few more at the major level. I remember hearing Nieves' no-no back in '87.
  8. Anyone know why gameday audio isn't there for the game? I can get other teams, but no the BrewCrew.
  9. I seem to remember that when Skaalen was hired, much the same statements were made as are being made about Sveum. Maybe Skaalen changed or maybe players stopped listening. Sveum doesn't deserve no credit, nor does he deserve it all. Frankly, I'm waiting for a larger sample size before deciding anything.
  10. I have to admit that I saw Coffey come off the field after the save last night. He had his head down a bit and for a second, he looked a lot like Kolb (goatee, size, etc..).
  11. Anyone have a link to the video of the Easter race? I would have loved to see it.
  12. I do believe it's five costumed teenagers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gifCostumes?!? Great, next you will tell me the Easter Bunny is fake, too! Its something silly and fun to do between innings. I haven't seen a game live in a while, so I didn't realize they switched. But the antics make it funny and enjoyable. The mini's are the best, however.
  13. If Kendall can't out hit our pitchers, he shouldn't be in the lineup at all.
  14. Thats the problem with written media. You can't tell the inflection, the background, etc... The reporter can even twist what was said he he/she so desires (not saying its happening here). So when ever I read written media (including BF.net), I tend to give the benefit of the doubt, since so much communication is lost in writing something down. Since Braun said "we", I'm chosing to take it as "we". I think we are reading into this too much to say "he really meant they". Thats how great players stop talking to the media altogether.
  15. I read the article, read the comments here and went back to read the article again. Braun didn't call any ONE out, he called everyone out including himself. Everything he said, he said as "we". I couldn't find one comment where Braun indicates he is fine, but others are not. I think just because he had a great game yesterday, everyone thinks he is calling people out. I found his comments to be: 1) Spot on. We are walking way too many. Our offense hasn't been terrible, but its not good. 2) Cliche as others have said. 3) Team centric. Everything was a "we" statement. He said ALL aspects of the team need to improve, not just pitching. People can always take statements the wrong way (which is why some athletes don't talk to the media), but I appreciate him stepping up and taking a leadership role and calling a spade a spade. That beats a fight in the dugout.
  16. I wasn't trying to directly compare the two, as Roger's ceiling is obviously higher. I was just surprised that he dropped from #27 to completely off the list entirely. Seemed to me that being 26 next summer and most likely 100% recovered from TJ surgery and in AAA, that he would still be a 30-40 list prospect...
  17. I see Brae Wright was dropped off the P50, just due to injury. Was it a serious enough injury that he may not recover completely? Seemed like Mark Rogers was on the P50 for quite a while even being injured (yes, higher ceiling). I'm just surprised he dropped completely off hte list.
  18. Cool! Can we get a 4 armed pitcher too??? Sort of unrelated: A parking lot near where I work, just put up some temporary signs so you can remember where you park (Fastenal was having a big shin-dig with Dale Ernheart Jr's Nascar, blah blah blah...). Each sign had a letter and a sport team that starts with that letter. I had to laugh when I saw E for Expos... Brand new signs too! And they didn't even use the whole alphabet either (no P for Packers, V for Vikings, T for Twins, but did have B for Bears instead of Brewers). Just goes to show a lack of respect (or recognition) for the Nationals.
  19. Things I have learned so far: 1) BF.net is in midseason panic form. 2) Since I dumped the DISH, I miss watching the games, but Gameday+Ueker is almost as good. 3) I hate runs walked in. I despise walking in 4 straight! 4) Even though we lost 2 of 3 to Cubs, they were toe-to-toe matchups. First two games decided in the ninth. And with the score 8-5, Prince had two on for the final out. It was a good series despite the pain of losing the last two. 5) Too early to tell much else.
  20. He has been hot and cold throughout his time with the Brewers... He is cold Soup now... I call him Gazpacho! What we need is a good hot Beer-Cheese Soup! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. Saying he is lucky in giving up unearned runs seems backwards.... You are assuming he would have given up those runs anyway but "lucky" because someone made an error? Because normally, if the error is not made, the run wouldn't have been given up at all, right? Unearned errors also make it harder for the SP because he has to pitch more to get out of an inning, thus shortening how long he can pitch that night.
  22. Incorrect generalization and unneeded. Yes, I would rather watch the Brewers than a meaningless Bucks game right now, but you can't say no one cares.
  23. Hart's elbow is all wrong! The whole stay out of the DP thing has me confused... Won't Hardy have more chances to hit into a DP by hitting after Hart/Braun/Fielder instead of Kendal/Pitcher/Weeks? I realize you don't want the DP in front of Braun and Fielder, but it seems like he will have a MUCH higher percentage of chances now. Technically, spot in the lineup shouldn't have any effect on your batting, but I think it does psychologically. Especially if you are asked to do something special (i.e. take a few more pitches) different than normal. Hopefully Hart/Hardy aren't the superstitious type. But last year at this time, we did the same with Braun and Fielder and they did poorly when swapped.
  24. Jack Z seemed to be of the 1TT philosophy (one true tool). Not that his draftees only had one tool, but had one exceptional tool (Prince-power, LaPorta - power, Jeffress-fastball, etc), with defense not being the 1TT. I wonder if that trend will continue or if we will change course and look for more all-around players? Seems like in the past, we could look at a shortage of power bats and predict Jack to go for a power bat. Or something to that effect (seems like what this thread is leaning towards). I'm not so sure we will see that now... (yes, I made up 1TT, but it sounded like 3TO and fit the bill, so...)
