    Predictions are 2 to 3 years at about $15m AAV. He's been good ever other year and he's due for a down year 😂

    Being a small market team, the Brewers have to take advantage of the fact that they have 2 players that can play any infield position, and therefore can acquire 3B or SS or 2B. Locking Turang at 2B would feel like playing for individual awards over team awards I think.

    Bohm is a weird one. I thought he would be highly valued but I guess Philly fans kind of hate him. Say his defense is bad and I guess he was cold for most of the year except April. Got benched late in the year. I would probably do it honestly to gear up for a 2 year run with this roster, since he’s the best infielder we could realistically add most likely. It’s not a very Brewers move though, I think they will try to get someone with more years of control or a stopgap 1 year FA. The poor defense and 2 years of control are just not Brewers.

    From what I read, Sasaki would be looking at something in the range of $150m to $300m if he was a true FA, but because he’s coming over now he’ll be capped at around $5m. But he’s expecting a lot of endorsement money. That’s why every single team wants to sign him but the dodgers will get him for free. Gross.

    I accepted the payroll difference that exists. I was disgusted by the Ohtani deferred money though and this is even worse. Free all stars is just too much.

    Sasaki going to LAD makes me want to just quit the sport. It’s bad enough that LAD is going to run a $300m payroll next year. Now they are getting world class players for free too. Sasaki and Ohtani are playing for free when they should be costing $80m+. I hope MLB does something about it but I’m sure they won’t.

    Not sure if already posted but there is a rumor swirling that Brewers and Rays are 2 teams willing to pay up for Bieber. 4.8 WAR 2 years ago but out until June due to TJ, and probably looking at 2 year offers. I like it in theory, we could get a good playoff pitcher this year plus a full season and maybe even a comp pick. But practically I don’t get it because it’s not the biggest need, we have limited budget and already took the risk with Woodruff.

    FA signing candidate Justin Turner? Sounds like age 40 still planning to play and perhaps finally old enough and cheap enough to come to Milwaukee.

    I am hoping someone posts the payroll analysis, but with Rhys opting in and the TV deal, I was definitely expecting a cheap offseason. My wish list includes Trade for a 3B, either from Devin Williams (top 100ish prospect) or trade away a 40 grade prospect for a stopgap Devin Williams trade has to happen, hoping to pick up a top 100 prospect Sign a few bargain bin pitchers Don’t salary dump anyone like Rhys Kind of hoping they can bring back Gary Sanchez but probably unlikely

    Why would we trade Civale? Isn’t he like our #3 or #4 pitcher? And without him we would have to go sign a guy similar to Civale?

    Wow can't believe he's 30. His numbers the last 2 years are solid when he played (about half a season in 2 years). I would take him but I think he ends up on a crappy team on a 1 year deal trying to build his value for 1 more big payday. He would be a role player here competing for playing time, most likely.

    We don’t have anyone better than Bauers and his .193 avg? I know his other stats like obp aren’t terrible but cmon at least hit .200 as a 1B/DH hitting 6th.

    Well probably but it looks like he only had 4 ABs career before today. He might be an interesting player to flash in September/October and ride him before the book is out.

    Wow Hicklen has been a 20 HR 40 SB guy in the minors for like 5 years and couldn’t get a real shot in the bigs

    My favorite part of the Montas trade was sending money to the Reds while also taking on this $16M contract (blue)

    The weirdest part about this trade was that I felt like Montas was probably a negative asset at 5.01 era and $16M AAV. Like I would have been less surprised to see Montas get DFA than Paxton probably.
