  1. I'd take a flier on him. Nothing special but looks like a guy you can plug in against lefties. Sort of like a Brosseau for the Outfield
  2. Well Brock, guessing you are happy
  3. Started at RT last year for Cincinnati, has two years of eligibility left Between Huber & Varner the Badgers have improved the trenches the last couple days
  4. I think it's very possible they go with a 6 man rotation similar to what they did in 2021 Also think it's certainly possible they use Houser purely as a reliever this year, can deploy him in specific situations that way considering his lack of effectiveness against lefties
  5. Feels like there is something more to drop here unless Miley is switching to a relief role which seems somewhat unlikely. Either Ashby/Houser are going to the pen or a trade of some sort is coming
  6. 1 year 4.5 million, up to 6 million in incentives
  7. It's a fine depth move in case of injury. Nothing more
  8. I do think BTV is probably high on the value Tatis has. He has raised some serious question marks. Not that I think he has negative value or anything like that or that this will happen. But I could certainly see them selling low on him compared to this
  9. I can't imagine this is true but just throwing this out there. Hypothetically I would assume SD would kick in a ton of money. No idea what a fair return would be
  10. I do agree it's hard to judge the specifics in this instance without knowing what the full deal was but I think it's perfectly fine to judge that in an ideal world Mark A would let Matt Arnold make decisions and not intervene
  11. Not a fan of Mark A vetoing a deal that Arnold might have preferred
  12. Scott Rolen is 10th all time in 3b WAR, he should be an absolute lock. I also agree Wagner should be in as well as Buehrle. I'd lean yes on Helton, Kent, and Sheffield as well
  13. This is the 3rd highly sought after QB that Fickell & Longo have gotten in less than a month on the job. This is a new era of Wisconsin Football
  14. I would try and buy out 2 years of Free Agency. It would take him into his early 30s, that said he also might not go for it for that very reason. Some guys are more open to locking up Free Agent years than others
  15. Not sure if this is allowed since it's linking to a Reddit Thread but a Brewers Employee shared some interesting Nuggets Things that stood out to me 1. The Adames/Burnes/Woodruff stuff. No Surprise but goodbye Burnes 2. The idea that Wiemer might start the year on the Opening Day Roster was a bit of a surprise, and the idea Yelich might dabble a bit at 1b 3. The Hader trade being super divisive in the org. Especially the fact that Counsell hated it 4. The Renfroe stuff, we all knew he wasn't exactly the model teammate but that would help explain the whole 5 teams in 5 years with him
  16. Lol I'm not the one you are arguing with here? I'm with you, a 1 year deal for Chapman is totally reasonable
  17. I don't understand why everything has to be black & white. Chapman might help us or he might not. It is true his peripherals were down last year but there could be a multitude of reasons for that where it might be correctable, it's also possible it's a sign of imminent decline. We honestly don't know.
  18. Seems the Twins also have/had concerns. Makes me think this is something that doctors feel could pop up in the future as opposed to something short term
  19. I was hoping to get Rogers back on a 1 year deal, thought a late inning lefty would be perfect for us. I don't hate the 11 mil AAV but for 3 years, that's steep
  20. For those who want Urias as a super utility guy that's basically what he is. He starts every day but not at the same position. Last year he started 54 games at 3b, 33 at 2b, and 22 at SS. With Turang on the roster I don't expect Urias to get much time at SS this year but I fully expect him to bounce between 2b & 3b depending who else is starting that day. But he'll most likely be in the lineup most days and he's a good enough bat to justify that
  21. Curious what is driving the difference on his defensive metrics. He's 91st percentile in OAA but -0.7 dwar(tied for last on CLE last season) & he was -1 DRS as well. Those seem like polar opposites. He's also very fast but rarely steals bases. Would assume him & Toro will battle in spring for the Jace Peterson role with the other being optioned to Nashville
  22. Payamps had a 3.23 ERA last year & a 3.35 career ERA. He wasn't getting DFA'd
