  1. So now Counsell is Yosts latest pet. How in the world has Counsell nudged Branyan out of the lineup and why would he ever bat 6th. Of course Kendall who cant hit to save his life at this point still has to play each and every day. We have so many automatic outs in the lineup at this point that I just dont see how we are going to consistently score any runs. Seriously what other team in baseball would platoon Counsell over Branyan and hit him 6th in the lineup ever.
  2. 1 Braun- slugger with a swagger and he signed long term 2 Sheets- really hope we keep him 3 Hardy- solid player that turns a mean double play 4 Weeks- I just love the physical tools and Im sticking it out with him 5 Gallardo- really miss him this year as he is a joy to watch pitch As much as CC is great and all you cant be a favorite of mine when you have only been on the team for less than a month and will be gone after the year ends.
  3. This incident like many others before it just shows that Ned has no control over the clubhouse. It also shows that the team is once again very tight down the stretch of the season like it was last year under Neds watch. Ned has earned the nickname nervous ned for a reason and its just showing again. This team plays stupidly, has no conposure and looks like its gonna fold again under pressure. This incident along with the Graffanino and Estrada fight with Yost last year are terrible examples of a bad clubhouse atmosphere and that is the fault of one clueless Ned Yost.
  4. I think JJ plays above average defense and is as good as it gets in turning double plays. I really question whether Escobar is so much better defensively than Hardy that it will make up for a probable huge difference in offense. I would prefer to keep Hardy at short and trade Escobar.
  5. Im happy thats over with. Hopefully Bush can settle in and pitch the way he did before the all star break and maybe McClung can be ok in the bullpen.
  6. We are abusing CC's arm by letting him throw so many innings. Lets enjoy him while we have him and let someone else pay him 20 mil per season.
  7. Im happy that Im in NY and cant watch this crap.
  8. @Atlanta 2-1 @Cincinnati 1-2 Washington 4-0 @San Diego 2-1 @LA 1-2 Houston 2-1 Pittsburgh 2-1 @St Louis 1-1 @Pittsburgh 2-1 17-10 and then we collapse in September.
  9. My biggest fear is that this team will stumble enough down the stretch to just miss the playoffs by a game or two and that will be good enough for Ned to come back next season.
  10. Funny how Haudricourt defended Yost no matter what until the badger blogger debacle and now he is showing how he really feels. TH has absolutely no objectivity whatsoever; when he and Yost were buddy buddy yost could do no wrong but once the relationship became strained TH all of a sudden feels free to criticize clueless Ned.
  11. Calendar says July but the uniforms say Brewers and yost is still sitting in the dugout. Nothing ever changes with this team. One step forward with the St Louis sweep and two steps back losing 6 of 7 on the homestand.
  12. Wow this is getting ugly. Bush gets the first two outs easily and is breezing along and before you know it its 5-0.
  13. Are there any Brewers fans in the stands today at all?
  14. There never has been any accountability with this team as long as Ned has been around. I have never seen a bigger excuse maker in my life. The lack of fundamentals and downright stupid play year after year is a reflection of poor coaching.
  15. After monday nights debacle I decided to take a few days off from Brewers baseball. This team never fails to disappoint. After a shocking 7-0 road trip of course the team has to fall apart on this homestand. How can anyone possibly belive in this team at this point. Somehow someway they will always find a way to disappoint and I blame the endless excuse maker clueless Ned for the way this team always finds a way to screw things up when things seem to be going well. After saturday we were tied for first and after today we will most likely be 5 out and behind in the wild card race. This team will never make the playoffs as long as clueless Ned is leading this team.
  16. I stand by my thought of wanting Sheets back and CC gone. CC will cost way more and he has much more tread on the tires not to mention his weight issues. We need a legit number one starter to compete year in and year out and Ben Sheets fills that bill.
  17. I was so upset about the game monday night that I couldnt even bring myself to watch last nights debacle. Its always one step forward and two steps back for this team and that never seems to change. Sadly I expect this team to choke away another playoff spot and that to me is very very sad.
  18. Only Yost would be dumb enough to platoon starting pitchers. Bush had been dominant before his 16 day layoff and McClung struggles to get through 5 innings with his high pitch counts. Why is this even a discussion? Bush needs a regular turn in the rotation and McClung needs to be in the bullpen. I would even try to trade McClung for a guy like Fuentes if possible.
  19. "Was Brewers manager Ned Yost asleep throughout the Astros' entire seven-run inning vs. Jeff Suppan on Sunday?" That is a direct quote from Jon Heymans si.com article.
  20. I dont like Suppan or McClung but if I have to choose one I would keep Suppan in the rotation. McClung throws too many pitches and cant be expected to go more than 5 innings per start. Suppan while inconsistent does give us 7 innings every few starts. I would be happy to trade McClung for a better bullpen arm if possible.
  21. Time to end this experiment. Bush is a far superior pitcher and McClung belongs in the bullpen. McClung rarely pitches more than 5 innings anyway. This platoon situation is bad for both pitchers and must end now unless Yost wants to throw another promising season down the drain.
  22. Melky cabrera is far from a potential allstar; 4th or 5th outfielder is more like it. Somehow if you play for the yankees you get at least twice as highly valued as you should and melky is just another example of that. If Melky was a Brewers starting outfielder everyone would be screaming for a replacement.
  23. Thank you Ned for once again proving that you are a moron.
  24. Look at what we paid for Linebrink who was on the verge of free agency and with less of a resume than Street who we would control for 2 more years. We are not getting him without giving at least one elite prospect and that is just not a price I am willing to pay for a pitcher that has had recent arm problems and has pitched very poorly as of late. I watched him pitched saturday and the results were not what bothered me; it was the lack of velocity and movement on his pitches. Street is not an elite pitcher and I would hate to trade an Escobar or Gamel in order to acquire him.
  25. Bush is a far better pitcher than McClung and as such should be in the rotation. Only yost could be idiotic enough to try this split roation slot. Bush has been the best Brewers starter for the last month and not starting him in St Louis is a huge mistake.
