  1. That totally fair and human. I suppose there is more to life than beating up on the lowly Durham Bulls tomorrow.
  2. Outside of Yelich, will we have more long-term guaranteed money committed to the Nashville Sounds roster than Milwaukee? 🙂
  3. That’s true. I can understand doing a thorough physical examination before making a $50 million investment but that probably only takes a day or two?
  4. If there’s an extension, isn’t it interesting that he is being held out of games? I can understand keeping him healthy if he’s being traded to another team. I imagine there’s something I don’t understand.
  5. Tonight is the first MLB game in Las Vegas since 1996. 33-year-old left-hander Jeffrey Springs starts for the Athletics. The Brewers roughed him up on April 20 last season, as Milwaukee beat the A’s, 14-1. source Kyle Harrison starts for Milwaukee. Harrison threw three scoreless innings in relief against the Athletics on September 10 last season.
  6. The state of Wisconsin spends tens of billions of tax dollars each year. If we were serious about winning, we would have created a referendum proposing a 30 year bond to finance our acquisition of Shohei Ohtani. If the state of Indiana can help the Bears with $1 billion for a stadium that doesn’t actually do anything, why can’t we collectively invest in world-class talent? When does the state of Wisconsin start to receive criticism? 🙂
  7. We really shouldn’t trade for meaningful left side of the infield help. It’s like buying yourself a present in November before Christmas with Pratt, Williams, etc on the door step. Plus, who is the left side of the infield needle mover we could get for just a half season?
  8. Joey has .300 OBP against LHP this season and used to be pretty good overall against lefties.
  9. Sanchez has 1.113 OPS against LHP this season. We can rely on him to mash against lefties throughout his career.
  10. Rengifo’s BABIP against LHP this season is only .164 over 73 PA. So, he’s due 🙂🤷‍♂️ Otherwise, Rengifo’s results against LHP are absent.
  11. Mitchell is getting on base at .405 clip this season against LHP over 43 PA. He could surprise us today.
  12. On the surface, Blake Perkins appears to have a .090 batting average this season. That’s only because he is 0-33 against RHP. Against LHP, he is batting .176 with a 9% walk rate 🙂
  13. Jamison Taillon has allowed 20 HR this season and is on pace to equal the all time single season record for HR allowed (50 by Bert Blyleven in 1986). For context, Roger Maris hit his 17th HR on June 7, 1961. We could be witnessing something truly historic this summer.
  14. 33-year-old lefty Kyle Freeland takes the mound for Colorado. Freeland owns the worst ERA among starting pitchers in baseball this season, and his home/road splits are similar. On a brighter note, he limits walks and generates a strong chase rate. Shane Drohan starts for Milwaukee. Drohan’s 2.78 FIP is #20 in MLB (min: 30 IP).
  15. Is there a way for the stats to say Milwaukee has enough offense to win a championship this season? 🙂
  16. Colorado’s starter tomorrow feels unseen. His ERA is nearly identical home and away. Seven starts away from Coors and four at home. Source
  17. His xERA is only 5.12 and xBA is .246 (nearly league average). He strikes out a fair amount of batters. .317 BABIP should improve, someday 🙂 No one expects Sproat to be Corbin Burnes. Corbin has had much worse ten game spans than Brandon. Source
  18. We can still win this trade 🙂💪
  19. Not sure how I missed this. Naturally, Lauer has two decent starts for Los Angeles. But FIP suggests nothing to worry about. Maybe Milwaukee’s rotation will be fine if the Dodgers are proactively adding Eric Lauer? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/05/dodgers-sign-eric-lauer.html
