Fair. I don’t deny he is dead last in OPS for SS this year. Ortiz hit alright last year. He could hit well again, like he has the past two weeks.

For 2025, a .744 OPS would be better than Betts, Swanson, Bogarts, Correa and Adames among qualified SS. Ortiz had .726 OPS last year. There is hope 🙂

Seems like the wrong time to give up on our 2020 first round pick. We wouldn’t get much value from trading him this year and he in no way is a DFA candidate. He will recover again, even if it is 2026. When he returns, he will get playing time in Milwaukee.
