  1. Not sure if this was discussed before, but would it be terrible manners for whoever wins game one toforfeit game two? This would keep both the Mets and the Braves a little bit more fresh, but absolutely be terrible sportsmanship for Arizona.
  2. What is the scenario where Hoskins decides to opt out?
  3. A lot can happen in Arizona and Atlanta, yet. And Milwaukee.
  4. Does that mean the Mets stay in Milwaukee and play the Brewers?
  5. Scenario: Braves lose; Mets win; D-backs lose Result: Braves, Mets clinch Wild Card spots; D-backs eliminated Would they need to play the games tomorrow to determine seeding?
  6. On track for six innings pitched, three earned runs.
  7. Chris Narveson was 26-18 with 4.65 ERA in Milwaukee. I haven’t followed the Packers for a single moment this year. I was surprised when I saw that Narveson needed to get off of the roster after today’s game..
  8. Contreras, Hoskins and Mitchell resting today. Not sure why Monasterio has the day off. I suppose you can pull Adames later in the game. Give the appearance of a competitive lineup for Arizona and Atlanta’s sake.
  9. Cubs were seven games worse than pythag in 2023. I guess Counsell underperformed less than Ross in 2024.
  10. Would you subjectively say Counsell’s impact was zero wins over replacement level in 2024?
  11. I think the Cubs are capable of improving in 2025. My hypothesis is that it took quite a while for the players and new manager to develop chemistry..
  12. If the Cubs finish this season with 83 wins, just like last year, is it reasonable to conclude that Counsell provided zero wins above replacement level? I appreciate this is an oversimplification. Just curious.
  13. Is this where we are trending? Game 1: Peralta Game 2: Civale Game 3: Montas Game 1: Myers (NLDS)
  14. Bullpen gets it work in today and largely takes tomorrow off? Do we suppose we call someone up to take the start tomorrow or give it to Rea?
  15. Mathematically, it probably was difficult to expect the Detroit Tigers to perform like the 1927 New York Yankees in September based on winning percentage. Similarly, the Twins probably were not supposed to have a worse winning percentage than the Marlins or Angels. Both can happen, I guess.
  16. We can probably skip anyone’s start at this point and set our rotation how we want? The probability of Phillies going 1-5 against Cubs and Nats seems slim.
  17. If our games don’t figure into the postseason standings, do we skip any games?
  18. Could the Cubs sweep the Phillies and we sweep Pittsburgh?
  19. Hard to blame the team for the last three games. Arizona had everything to play for and we essentially have very little to play for this week. It’d be great to get a bye but that seemed like a remote chance.
  20. It seems very “un-Murphy” to do something different in the postseason compared to the regular season.
  21. At this point, we should absolutely pick up one year option, right?
  22. Alabama should cover the spread today, easily.
