  1. I also think firing the manager could be a catalyst for a winning streak.
  2. Being 15 games under .500 is beneath the Cardinals organization. If the hot streak comes in June, that’s one thing. A hot streak in August is too late. 30-15 record over next 45 games gets them to 500.
  3. Saint Louis almost needs to hold today’s lead against the Mets. At some point, being 17 games under .500 seems insurmountable.
  4. I wonder how other NL Central fans view the division race. Do they assume the division is Milwaukee’s to lose? Are we the favorites?
  5. At some point, Saint Louis needs to fire someone?
  6. Wish Jon all the best. Good chance he lands back in Nashville?
  7. First place, Milwaukee Brewers! (will the Reds ever lose again?)
  8. A 43-year old soft tossing lefty. 🤔
  9. I agree the Cardinals are most dangerous until they are eliminated. The Reds rotation seems too suspect to make an extended run, especially if Hunter Greene’s hip injury flares up. Reds need to go 55-45 to finish with 84 wins. Pirates are playing with swagger (present series aside). I’m curious to see how Milwaukee fares against them with six games against Pittsburgh in the next month. Cubs are not a concern.
  10. Do you think the Cardinals fire their current manager soon? Adam Wainwright saying the clubhouse is frustrated does not seem like a good sign for job security.
  11. Will Oliver Marmol still be managing the Cardinals in July? https://www.sportskeeda.com/amp/baseball/news-st-louis-cardinals-fans-bewildered-disconnect-manager-oliver-marmol-team-does-oli-ever-talk-team-oli-s-oblivious
  12. Yeesh, Dodgers allow six unanswered runs.
  13. Orioles lost in the 2016 Wild Card, the ‘Zack Britton game’ https://www.mlb.com/cut4/zack-britton-remembers-not-pitching-in-2016-wild-card-game-c303649286
  14. Sending the Rally Rabbit to Pittsburgh in hopes the A’s can retake the lead.
  15. Four walks later, Pirates take the lead over Oakland.
  16. Erceg with big strikeout with bases loaded to end the fifth inning against Pittsburgh. Oakland leading Pirates, 3-1 somehow.
  17. As fans, we beg for extensions and then get mad when a player signs the extension and underperforms or gets injured. conclusion: extensions are not usually good.
  18. The AL Central seems worse?
  19. Unfairly lumping Weeks in with Fielder but on June 25, 2005 - Weeks tripled and homered off Johan Santana. The same night as Fielder’s first HR. 2005, the Brewers finished with .500 record. Hart, Hardy, Weeks and Fielder. ’It was coming together’
  20. Yeesh, just when we want to count on Saint Louis to steam roll back to the top of the division, they are still eight games under .500 and on pace for fewer than 70 wins.
