  1. Don’t forget the corked bat! Man was a 5-tool cheat
  2. Mariners had 9 runs and 13 hits against the Cubs. All 9 runs and twelve of the hits came after two were out. Cubs got the first two Mariners out in 7 of the nine innings.
  3. Watching Cubs-Mariners. Why do the Cubs have unís that look like vintage Expo gear? And Cal Raleigh is really good.
  4. Brewers need Chourio to be PCA. Imagine Chourio with a 4.5 WAR like PCA, instead of the 1.1 that he has.
  5. I would love it if someone could tell me how often the Brewers are in 0-2 counts, and how that compares to league averages. My conservative estimate is that it happens in 100% of at-bats, with Yelich starting off 0-2 about 110% of the time. And I know it’s not really 100%, since Chourio always swings at the first pitch.
  6. Oh, cool. Can't wait for him to come back, OPS .600, and get injured again.
  7. I hope not talking me in about this poster of whom you speak of.
  8. I'm just glad we can quit being unhappy with Civale's trade request, and move on to complaining about the return for him.
  9. Man, some of you guys are taking this trade request hard. The teammates are probably fine. In fact, they probably understand more than any of us will ever know.
  10. I read it as throwing in the 70 mph range.
  11. Allow me to nitpick, please. The tweet says “request” and “ask”. Changing it to “demand” can color the discussion.
  12. Yeah, but if you take out those 20 wins it’s a really bad record. (They are 3-11 with me in the crowd since beginning of 2024, so that’s what it feels like for me)
  13. Saw the Braves play on Friday when I was in San Francisco. Schwellenbach pitched, looked good, but ATL committed two errors and a WP in the first and were behind the 8-ball all night. Hope it happens again. I sure like that Atlanta lineup, though
  14. Dave Roberts is letting Sauers get torched. Guy hasn’t thrown more than 82 pitches this year. He is on 111 in the sixth, having given up 9 runs and 13 hits to the Padres. This site would melt down if Murphy did that. Kike Hernandez is now in to finish the sixth
  15. Don’t look now, but thanks to a 32-18 record in their last 50 games, the NL Central has the best cumulative record in MLB, at 13 games over .500. NL Central +13 AL East +10 AL Central +5 NL West 0 NL West -13 AL West -15 The two leagues are exactly .500 in interleague.
  16. Texted my friend when lineup came out. Called out Monasterio and Cameron as evidence they wouldn’t win today. 3 rbis later, I’ll recant.
  17. Cincinnati and St. Louis are a special kind of hot. Something about being river towns, I guess
