  1. I am still wiped out from last night's game. Huge crowd, hot night, amazing ending. Went with three of my brothers, one who doesn't follow baseball. He asked me about the team, and I told him to watch Blake Perkins play centerfield. Turns out that was a good call. There was another play (Marte AB in the 7th) where between pitches, Perkins took ten steps to his left between pitches. Ball was lined right to him. Played perfectly. Such a joy to watch play defense.
  2. I’m already worried that they won’t do enough at the 2026 deadline to repeat as WS champions.
  3. Bad jokes? I only see comedy gold being mined here. They say sarcasm is anger filtered through depression. I was not prepared for the possibility of Chourio missing over a month until I opened this thread. IT WAS JUST A TICKLE!
  4. I hate that AI stuff.
  5. DH 1992 Molitor, SS 1982 Yount, LF 2011 Braun, 1B 2009 Prince, RF 2018 Christian Yelich, C 2014 Lucroy, 3B 1970 Tommy Harper, 2B 1992 Pat Listach, CF 2019 Lo Cain. Jaime Cocanower SP. I mean, you know my earlier post wasn't serious, right? "Fanny-pack waffle" should have been a clue.
  6. Does it really matter, since Murphys decisions are always wrong? Lineups, resting guys, bullpen usage, even his choice of a pocket pancake over the far superior fanny-pack waffle are open for second-guessing.
  7. Looks like he could still throw a good brekka ball
  8. Is it 24 weeks? It’s 24 weeks, isn’t it?
  9. I am tickled to hear this.
  10. “Might be?” This is the optimism thread, Eeyore.
  11. In the playoffs, managers will go to their bullpen earlier than they may in a Wednesday game in June. I’d be interested to see the occurrences of multiple hit, non-homer, crooked number rallies in the playoffs (I am not going to do the work).
  12. If it was a strategy, they would have picked up Hiura. Now excuse me, I am going to duck out before rickh150 shows up.
  13. Agreed. I can accept that they did the cost/benefit analysis, and they decided no more moves was the best move.
  14. I consider myself a rational fan. I am generally very optimistic, and the Brewers are having a season that I am enjoying immensely. However, it is possible to see the Priester and Vaughn trades as wins. Getting Woodruff back and inserting Mis into the rotation have been beautiful. While the FO gets credit for all that, the trade deadline is a distinct event. It is one last look at your team and determining if it can be improved. I think it is a diversion to point to previous good moves as de facto deadline moves ("We made our deadline move with the Civale trade", for example). I believe that a Willi Castro would have been an upgrade from Siegler. And they could have had it all. They chose not to. Doesn't diminish my fandom to point out my disappointment that they didn't do more. In fact, they seem to be so good at these decisions, that I want them to do more. Shelby Miller's ability to get healthy and contribute is how I will grade this deadline.
