    We haven't taken a college position player in rounds 11-20 since 2019. We did take two Juco position guys in 2022, signing one of them.

    I remember going into the Misiorowski signing period thinking we had so much money to sign guys, and then we dumped a huge amount on him. Wouldn't be surprised if Levonas was that guy.

    Made a spreadsheet comparing last years bonuses vs. this years so far. Ended last years at Round 6 (Pratt). Assuming Payne and Burke took their physicals and sign for the minimum... We can sign the two high school arms to $2mil deals (well above slot, what we gave to Knoth last year) and still have $600k to play with. DAY1_BONUS_POOL.xlsx

    My only worry is that someone brought up the new CBA stating that you have to pay 75% of the slot. We aren’t saving nearly as much as we probably should on the first rounder.

    I think our current arms are extremely undervalued. Weren’t sexy draft picks, but we’ve got guys that produce.

    This has to indicate a heavily HS draft class. That rookie ball team next year is gonna be STACKED. If we offer him 34 pick money, we are looking at $2 mil in savings there alone.

    Batting lead off ahead of everyone else on that stacked Team 1 roster is a guy who turned 17 only five days ago and is making his fourth appearance of the year. Hits a double, thrown out stretching it to a triple. Yeesh. MLB.com has Handlefry Encarnacion as a $400k signing bonus, so he’s not nothing. *ANOTHER EDIT* Eff it. Call an audible and draft only high school pitchers to team up with this class of position guys.

    Man, a healthy Quero would be such a massive trade piece at a position where we have an All Star starter. Being injured, I think we’d be selling at his absolute lowest. No way in heck do we trade Misio. Him and Henderson in AA are giving off Burnes / Woodruff vibes, and could even contribute to the bullpen later this year.

    Sure feels like we have two top 50 guys, and then 20 guys that are in the top 100-150.
