  1. So… Yophery Rodriguez strikes out in 40% of his at bats, but gets on base in 41%? I’ll take it?
  2. And that’s in addition to the seemingly constant flow of stud 18 year old internationals going straight to A-ball.
  3. His write up for Misio basically says he’s got two 70 grade pitches, possibly both 80, but he doesn’t like rating relievers highly.
  4. I’m crap at linking, but it looks like Cream City Prospects on X/twitter confirmed the Brewers being at #2 in Baseball America’s Prospect Handbook behind only the Orioles.
  5. From the write ups on MLB Pipeline, both Quintana and Made are 16 years old and are both already 6’1” and 6’2” switch hitters.
  6. Jace Avina is ops-ing over 1.000 the last two months as a 19/20 year old in single A.
  7. O’Rea with the scrappiest box score I’ve ever seen.
  8. The turnaround with no top draft picks, and only Gasser to show for trading guys away… It’s seriously mind blowing.
  9. Just quick and probably not accurate, but it looks like every round 11-20 that we signed a player, that player got at least the 3rd highest bonus of that round. We had to have spent the most money 11-20 in the entire draft.
  10. Man what a rush. The front office has to feel great about how this worked out. Lots of high schoolers added to the promising international signings. Going to make for some stacked teams in the low minors.
  11. Still have around $400k left to throw around. Would love to see one ($550k) or two ($350k) more to really push this draft into the ceiling. The 20th rounder getting $500k was quite the shock.
  12. The problem with Black is that he seems like a cheaper, younger version of anyone that we’d trade him for.
  13. Unless we gave them both $750,000 I’d expect at least one more signing.
  14. I’d really like to know Black, Chourio, and Quero’s stats since they went back to the old balls. Really wouldn’t be surprised if they were all batting at least .400.
  15. Our 5th round pick has a slot value of about $400,000. We can probably throw that amount at 4 of these 11-20 guys. Letson seems to be the obvious want, but Bjorn Johnson (Auburn) an Dylan Watts (Auburn) are both from the same area of Washington state. Seems like us (and Auburn) found something up there. Bjorn’s Twitter pic is even him in a Brewers jersey. Letson, Bjorn, Watts, and Adamczewski would be nice. Take away two of those and throwing close to 3rd round money at Gholston wouldn’t be bad either. Have to think he wasn’t expecting that when reiterating his commitment to Oklahoma.
  16. And #12, he’s higher rated on Perfect Game.
  17. Man, if they pull this off, and even get another one of the 11-20’s…. Yeesh. This draft seems a lot like our International signing strategy. Spread the money over as many high level lottery tickets as possible. Three or four guys at $1.5 mil rather than one at $5-6 mil.
  18. At this point I think I could get drafted by the Brewers for $1k so they can save the slot money.
  19. Holy cow they just dropped a bomb with Cooper Pratt.
  20. Russ Smith was the big one that I thought we’d save a ton on. He was a 4th year guy taken in the 2nd and if I remember correctly we gave him near slot money. Should have been like 10% of that. Could have maybe got Roc Riggio to sign if we had really bent that 2nd round pick over.
