  1. This has to indicate a heavily HS draft class. That rookie ball team next year is gonna be STACKED. If we offer him 34 pick money, we are looking at $2 mil in savings there alone.
  2. Can’t really after seeing what they did last year. We are gonna have a ton of money to play with if this is the case.
  3. Well now we gotta watch this whole draft. Gonna get real weird.
  4. Batting lead off ahead of everyone else on that stacked Team 1 roster is a guy who turned 17 only five days ago and is making his fourth appearance of the year. Hits a double, thrown out stretching it to a triple. Yeesh. MLB.com has Handlefry Encarnacion as a $400k signing bonus, so he’s not nothing. *ANOTHER EDIT* Eff it. Call an audible and draft only high school pitchers to team up with this class of position guys.
  5. Man, a healthy Quero would be such a massive trade piece at a position where we have an All Star starter. Being injured, I think we’d be selling at his absolute lowest. No way in heck do we trade Misio. Him and Henderson in AA are giving off Burnes / Woodruff vibes, and could even contribute to the bullpen later this year.
  6. Juan Martinez?!? Do we just get a new academy stud daily now or what?
  7. Ortuno with his first home run. Almost out-OPSing both Made and Pena. What are they feeding them at that new academy?
  8. Made, Pena, and Anderson are old news. Ortuno is the new hotness.
  9. This is pretty much my list too. Benge, Waldschmidt, or one of the catchers. Go nuts after that.
  10. It’s gotten to the point that I wonder if it changes draft plans moving forward.
  11. Yeesh. That new Dominican academy is gonna pay for itself in one summer.
  12. Sure feels like we have two top 50 guys, and then 20 guys that are in the top 100-150.
  13. When the Mudcats get Bitonti and Adamczewski along with the draft guys, that team is gonna be a juggernaut in the second half too.
  14. Also he has 6 total hits, with 2 doubles, a triple, and a home run.
  15. This is probably the first time in Brewerfan’s history that the DSL teams are what everyone is looking at first.
  16. The wacky DSL home run totals has got me thinking that maybe the new complex has favorable wind or something? I don’t remember us ever having this many homers over a month down there, let alone a week. Jose Anderson is 11/23 with 3 2Bs and 4 HRs. Kevin Garcia is a 16 year old catcher that is 3/10 with 3 HRs. What is going on?
  17. This DSL group looks pretty damn promising… And that’s with Quintana starting off slow as the highest ranked guy.
  18. Granted it’s only 4 games, but I wonder how soon we see a jump from the Dominican set up being fully operational. Seems like we have a good group again.
  19. So… Yophery Rodriguez strikes out in 40% of his at bats, but gets on base in 41%? I’ll take it?
  20. And that’s in addition to the seemingly constant flow of stud 18 year old internationals going straight to A-ball.
  21. His write up for Misio basically says he’s got two 70 grade pitches, possibly both 80, but he doesn’t like rating relievers highly.
  22. I’m crap at linking, but it looks like Cream City Prospects on X/twitter confirmed the Brewers being at #2 in Baseball America’s Prospect Handbook behind only the Orioles.
  23. From the write ups on MLB Pipeline, both Quintana and Made are 16 years old and are both already 6’1” and 6’2” switch hitters.
