  1. I see it pretty close to the same, except I think CC (if he has 13 pitchers) carries two infielders plus Vogelbach on the bench and only 4 OFs. So no Fisher and I think Urias starts at SS, especially if Arcia proves he can play OF.
  2. I think it depends on if CC is going to carry 13 or 14 pitchers. If it's 14 then Fisher is definately out because CC would carry only one OF, 2 Infs, and Pina. If CC carries 5 starters and 8 pen arms, I think Fisher would have an outside chance.
  3. In 2015 Royals were 7th in runs scored - had the fewest batting Ks - 2nd in batting average - 2nd in hits - 10th in OPS - tied for 9th in OBP - 7th in RBIs
  4. Did you see them spending anything more on FAs before they signed JBJ either? NO I didn't see them signing anybody after Turner was gone unless it was Odorizzi. I still can't get this signing unless there is something about Cain they are not releasing. Garcia: 9 years - .271/.324/.746 - 9.5 O-war. Bradley: 8 seasons - .239/.321/.732 - 8 O-war. 2021 projections for Bradley .237/.324/.737 Projections for Tyrone Taylor ..246/.324/.758....
  5. Adding Odorizzi to rotation. After adding Bradley Jr. I don't see the Brewers spending anything more on FAs. I just don't see the team the way they are currently set up as contenders. After Woody and Burnes there isn't much and 3B is a hole once again.
  6. Nice article. Thanks for the link. I hope Urias can produce anywhere near the top numbers.

  8. IMO they signed Anderson to be the #3 with Houser and ? Lauer I think will get a good look along with Lindbloom and Peralta. I can't see Bettinger anywhere but AAA, at least to start. He did poorly in A+ (6.91 ERA - .315 avg. against - 1.59 WHIP), but dominated at AA. If he continues to dominate, maybe he's called up if several people struggle. File is out for the year and maybe part of 2022. I don't see Suter starting unless all the others fail. He's too good out of the pen.

  10. In 2017 between AA and AAA he hit .315/.352/.498 and only fanned 71 times in 522 PA He followed that up with .297/.328/.527 in the big leagues with only 97 K's in over 600 PA He missed almost all of 2019 with a shoulder injury. Contact hitter with power is a rare combination. Sure he doesn't walk a lot in part because he puts the ball in play. Those guys are valuable as run producers who can get a guy in from third with less than two outs. I don't think the question is whether he can hit, it's if his shoulder is healthy enough for him to play third. He did play there in half his games in the Dominican Winter League this winter. All the questions brought up simply lower his trade value especially buried as he is in the Yankee depth chart. He hasn't been very good at 3B in the majors and hasn't hit well in 2 years. There has to be a reason the Yankees can't peddle him.

  12. They absolutely do. I guess I should say they absolutely do as long as we're not dead set on getting MLB help immediately. It has been reported numerous times that Stearns/Arnold are looking for MLB ready players in any trade? Or MLB ready player/s that can help them win immediately and prospects.
  13. If Gore isn't there, then I'd say the Padres don't have what the Brewers are looking for.
  14. ZACH Bryant, not Kris
  15. IMO Zimmermann has been washed up for quite some time. He hasn't been much good since 2015. I definately don't mind the move because it cost next to nothing to bring him in. It's a lottery ticket type move.
  16. I guess it would depend on how big a cut he's willing to take. I can't see Stearns/Arnold offering anything more than $2M or so for a backup OF. I know the A's also have been talking about adding him as a starting OF.
  17. I'm not convinced on Robertson. He just had TJ surgery, barely pitched in 2019 and didn't throw at all in 2020. Maybe if he came real cheap.
  18. If the Brewers can't get Rios, how about Mike Brosseau from the Rays. Projected .796 OPS and good power. The Rays have an abundance of infs. and he wouldn't be expensive to get. Young and controllable for years.
  19. You do know as of now, there is NO DH in the NL. How do they just "sign Rizzo" and why would they want his $16.5M salary for a one year rental?
  20. I am really sceptical about Candelario. He had a good short season, but look at the previous two full seasons. .224/.317/.710 and .203/.306/.643...
  21. I would imagine the Dodgers are looking to trade David Price (who opted out last year), with Bauer, Kershaw, Buehler, May and Urias there isn't a reason to bump one of them from the rotation for David Price. Price's contract calls for 16 million per season in 2021 and 2022 (Red Sox picking up other half of his 32 million/Season contract). I would imagine the Dodgers are attempting to trade him and in order to move 32 million dollars in contract commitments may have to include some of the lower end players on the 40 man like Luke Raley, etc. Brewers get: SP David Price 3B Edwin Rios Dodgers get: PTBNL Thoughts? Not sure I would do that actually, as just based on reading things I'm not convinced Rios can stick at 3B. Certainly wouldn't mind having Price though. Hmmm....this is actually somewhat intriguing. It would help us solve our need for a LHP in the rotation, as well as our need for a 3B. Like you said - I don't know how well Rios can play 3B, but if he can be adequate there - the bat should play, right? I'd almost think that we'd need to have the Dodgers kick in a little $$ though for Price. I know that would then involve us upping the prospects going back to them, but I'm guessing we wouldn't have to give up any of our top 8-10 prospects in this type of a deal. This would help the Dodgers create more space in their 40 man, and also then give them the extra cash to go out and re-sign JT if they want to go that route. Does Price have a no-trade clause? I just can't imagine Arnold/Stearns/MA wanting to spend $32M on Price.
  22. Heyman reported that Benintendi had been traded to the Royals. Alec Lewis a KC reporter confirmed the trade. No details yet.
  23. It would really depend on what the D'backs would take for him. He's a one year rental guy and I doubt the Crew would want to give up all that much for a rental.
  24. I'd take Bryant and his salary and ride all the way to bank. The guy's going to be primed to for a huge year. Take the risk. No, I won't give up a ton for him. But I think he'd be a fascinating gamble. But it'll never happen. No way the Cubs trade him to a division rival. I can't imagine Arnold taking on $19.5M in any way, shape, or form. IMO they would be better off trading for a guy like Brosseau and spending on a SP.
  25. The lineups look like a 70-72 win team at best.
