  1. Just found this little nugget. If the Yankees are "serious" contenders, I doubt we are. The vax thing could improve our chances, but I highly doubt the mighty Yankees would let that deter them from getting a guy they want. Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports that the Yankees have emerged as "serious contenders" to acquire Royals outfielder Andrew Benintendi. The 28-year-old All-Star continues to draw interest from a variety of teams and looks increasingly likely to be dealt before the trade deadline. Benintendi is unvaccinated though and would not be able to travel to Toronto for the Yankees three-game set against the Jays in September -- or in any potential playoff matchup. He's slashing .319/.389/.402 with just three homers, 39 RBI and two stolen bases (in four attempts) on the season. SOURCE: Mark Feinsand on Twitter Jul 23, 2022, 12:19 PM ET
  2. Nice work! Weight loss takes commitment, congrats!
  3. Not everyone here lives in Wisconsin. Ok, but a lot do.
  4. How much do you pay per month for Spectrum cable service, if you don't mind me asking? $180 plus change. Includes internet and a landline.
  5. I have cable and cable only. I have no need for anything else. Kids are grown and gone, no need for Disney. No interest in netflix or any of those other services. Cable has all I need, and no stress for Brewer games.
  6. I have spectrum, no contract. If I want to drop it, I can drop it, no cost.
  7. People are streaming etc. because cable is so expensive, yet it seems that the costs to go the streaming route are equal to or more than cable. Buying special tvs, paying for multiple streaming services, and the stress of trying to watch Brewers games that may or may not be there on any given day just isn't worth it to me. I realize it's worth it to others, all that hassle, but all I do is turn on my tv, and there the Brewers are. No scrambling to find a service, no switching services, no buying special equipment. Just turn on the tv, like magic.
  8. Going to NOBODY tonight on $5 Tuesday.
  9. 80's gold! Sittin' in a restaurant she walked by I seem to recall that certain look in your eye I said "who's that?" You said with a smile "Oh it's nobody, oh nobody" Maybe that explains the last two week You called me up, dead on your feet Working late again, I ask who with You said "nobody, oh nobody." Well your nobody called today She hung up when I asked her name Well I wonder does she think she's being clever? (Clever) You say nobody's after you The fact is what you say is true But I can love you like nobody can, even better Late last night we went for a drive You were miles away I asked "who's on your mind?" You said, "Nobody, nobody. Why do you ask?" Oh, her again I could have told you that. We came back home got ready for bed I said to myself I've got one shot left Your still mine and I won't stand in line Behind nobody, nobody! Well your nobody called today She hung up when I asked her name Well I wonder does she think she's being clever? (Clever) You say nobody's after you The fact is what you say is true But I can love you like nobody can, even better. Pizza

My wife and I ate those in college and still buy a few today when we see them on sale for $1 (which isn’t often anymore). It’s not great pizza, but it is a great value. Man, that is still a dollar too much. They are just so bad. I haven't had one since college, but even as a college student, willing to eat almost anything cheap, they just didn't cut it. I'm actually surprised they are still being made. Back then, Roma was the poorest quality that I could bring myself to eat, which is too bad because back in the 70's and 80's growing up, Roma was great! Now, just horrible.

    Pizza

Every once in a while, I get a craving for that good old fashioned rectangle shaped pizza that my high school cafeteria served. Probably alone on that though.
  13. Loved the first couple seasons of Workaholics. The last 2 or 3 seasons were almost painful to view. Love the League, start to finish.
  14. Yep ... should probably serve as a warning to those pushing for the Brewers to trade Hader. They'd probably be lucky to get 1-2 prospects back the caliber of Diaz and Harrison, let alone a Top 25 MLB prospect like Brinson was at the time. I think success and failure can't be applied to all trades involving minor league guys. It's a case by case basis. I think now is the time to trade Hader, at the very least, at this year's trade deadline. Again though, if we don't get what we are asking for, then hang onto him.
  15. Still too early to tell. I think at the end of 2021, we should have a pretty good read on Diaz and Harrison. Brinson is baffling. I thought this guy was going to be a staple in our OF, now it looks like he might have flamed out.
