The fans of this team will scream bloody murder if we trade all 3 this off season. If you want to piss off a large segment of those who buy the tickets and over priced concessions, trade all 3. I have personally accepted that one of Burnes/Woodruff will probably be gone on opening day, but trading them both, plus our only real star on offense would be an issue with the fan base.

All I know is that I would prefer the articles not be pinned to the forums. I think they clog it up.

I HIGHLY doubt that Eduardo Garcia is left unprotected in the next Rule 5 draft. If so, management needs to be taken to task HARD!

This trade starts and ends with Grayson Rodriguez. If he isn't included in any deal for Burnes, I'm not interested.

I'm assuming one of the Brandon Woodruff starting at #1 and #2 is supposed to be Burnes? You literally just plugged the 2022 roster into the 2023 roster. No changes, no additions. That isn't re-tooling, that is a re-run.

Can you please, just for one single time, accept that you might be wrong, or that someone else has an opinion that differs from yours and they might be right? I don't know how anyone can stand to read your posts here any longer. Everything you say creates conflict, which then follows with 2 or 3 pages of back and forth, all because you just can't accept that people might disagree with you, and you MUST be right. I don't understand why anyone bothers trying to have a conversation with you, because it always ends up the same. I have been reading this board for years, literally YEARS! You are by far the most impossible person to interact with on these boards. Constantly having drama and discontent. You are probably in the top 2 posters for condescending and holier than thou nonsense, and it continues to be allowed. It's to the point that I just need to block you, but if I do, then the context of so many other posts/threads are ruined, making it hard to see the flow of the content. I mean, you comment on almost every single post made here until you have proven to yourself that you are right. It is beyond irritating, yet it continues daily, hell, hourly. What really bugs me is that condescending speak is allowed here. Some of the mods and admin. are guilty of it as well, not just the common man people who post here. This site is so much more fun to be a part of when we don't have the same 3 or 4 people having to prove they are better than every one else. Ridiculing others for negative posts is just ridiculous. (I understand there is a fine line between negative posts and trolling at times, that isn't lost on me) Sadly, like I said above, we have admin. that are not setting a good example for the rest of us when it comes to condescension. Along with that, I find it extremely annoying that we have people trying to tell others how to post in the game threads. These same people constantly demean others for the way they post, yet they continue to show up in the game threads, knowing full well that the behavior there is "below" them. (so they think) Game threads are meant to have a certain degree of burning off steam. Hot takes, and nonsense is part of being a fan of a sports team. As long as people aren't attacking other posters personally with negativity, what does it hurt to have someone voicing opinions that the "company men" on the site don't agree with. Everyone needs to be allowed to have opinions, even if others don't agree with them. That seems to be the main reason to have a message board, right? Sharing the joys and sorrows of being fans of the same team? It's ok to have disagreements, that is a huge part of this, but the constant pissing matches, usually involving the same posters, gets really old. I probably shouldn't have posted this, but you wanted honesty, so there it is.

As I expected, so very few people actually answered my question.

I can agree with this, but once again, as we have done for YEARS, we ignore what is possibly our biggest offensive need, and that is 3B. When is the last time we acquired a real 3B? It's our glaring weakness, and continues to be ignored.

I have some faith in Gasser, and if he does in fact turn out to be a legit #2, then great. I do not have that level of faith in Ruiz, and I don't think we needed to add another outfielder when we have so many knocking on the door. If Ruiz is so coveted by other teams, I hope we dangle him in trade offers this off season for a 3B or starting pitching, hell, maybe even bullpen help if it will get us a guy who can step in as closer or a high leverage type guy or two.

Who was the top flight closer we got in return? Rogers? He wasn't even closing anymore in SD because like Hader, he fell on some horrible times and was absolute crap at the time of the trade. Unlike Hader, he remained crap after the trade, while Josh (even though he took some time to settle in) has flourished, and is now playing in the NLCS!

I hope they are both super star all star players for the next 5 years, but I have no faith in Ruiz, and tempered faith in Gasser. I want every move the Brewers make to be SUPER, but when they make moves I don't agree with, they deserve to be contested, and there are some posters on this site that sugar coat every move, and act like it is against the law to question anything.
