  1. We'll see ya next season, Rea.
  2. The only scenario that I’d really like to avoid is one which results in us playing the Braves with Sale, Fried, and Lopez lined up against us. Otherwise, all other scenarios are fairly palatable. Despite last weekend and last year, I see no reason to fear the Dbacks as they’re struggling to defeat a San Diego team that is playing for nothing and resting guys right now after losing a series to the Giants.
  3. Yep. We're going to want to be cheering for the Dbacks tomorrow, as that would ensure that the Mets have to go to Atlanta and play at least one game regardless of what happens in our game tomorrow.
  4. Well, it's almost certainly going to be the DBacks or Mets now.
  5. Mets playoff odds just shot up.
  6. I would imagine Ashby is coming out of the bullpen next.
  7. I don't. Last thing we need is Chourio being involved in a play at the plate.
  8. To his defense, that wasn't a strike.
  9. Man, Myers looks as good as he has all season and on 3 days rest....
  10. Good news all things considered.
  11. After all the hoopla in the off-season, we just matched our win total from last year.
  12. They’re pretty much the worst fans in baseball.
  13. And of course Mets fans are on Twitter right now cheering Frelick’s injury because he’s “trying too hard” in a “‘meaningless” game. …
  14. At the game and Winker is getting booed. Brewers fans seriously need to let things go. It’s not his fault CC pinch hit him and there’s no indication he didn’t give anything but his best.
  15. Well, Boras is his agent so it's possible we see a redux of last offseason (and with Correa) where he holds out for the big contract and then is forced to sign a short term deal after no one caves on the outrageous demands. In that situation, the Brewers could work their way in, and it's not like the Brewers haven't agreed to a similar deal recently with Boras for Hoskins. Could easily see Boras setting a value based more on the MVP caliber player Bregman was from 2018-2019 which no one is going to pay because Bregman isn't that player anymore.
  16. 91 wins. Not bad for a retooling year. Only need one more to match last season's win total.
  17. And you could argue that wasn't even the worst call of the game.
  18. I think that's where you look at OBP. If he had an OBP in the .330 range or so, I'd agree that it's fine slotting him leadoff even without the slugging due to how often he turns walks and singles into doubles. However, it's at .313 and dropping right now and has been sub .300 the last three months.
  19. Hoskins getting hot just in time for the postseason. ABs have been very good for a couple weeks now. It takes time coming off a major injury.
  20. I'd definitely feel comfortable with Civale starting a game in the postseason. Wouldn't want him facing the order a 3rd time, but he's been steady for the Brewers.
