  1. He's going to get non-tendered by the Brewers. That's pretty much a guarantee.
  2. The game where we ended the Cubs' "dynasty". Will always remember that one.
  3. Carlos! Should have the lead.
  4. I could see Blake Perkins manning CF against LHP in the playoffs. He hasn't hit them well in the majors so far, but that's a SSSA and he mashed them in the minors. His defense might be the best of all our outfielders.
  5. It would have been far more enjoyable to watch Robert Gasser tonight. Damn you service time/40 man roster rules!
  6. Lauer not even hitting 90 MPH with his fastball in that last AB.
  7. No you don't. This is Lauer's game. All of our other pitchers on the roster now are going to be needed for the postseason.
  8. 3 HRs in the first inning. Nice.
  9. Very good news…. https://x.com/todd_rosiak/status/1708235630382051491?s=46&t=6qHppUIKVZAHrSmvysdA1A
  10. I doubt it. Because they'd then have to do the same with Merrill Kelly. It's smarter for them to have Gallen and Kelly on full rest in games 2 and 3.
  11. I believe the Dbacks are our most likely opponent at this point. They're in a virtual tie with the Marlins due to the Marlins' likely W in NY and the Marlins hold the tiebreaker. Not to mention they face a desperate Astros team while the Marlins get the Pirates. Which wouldn't be the worst thing imo considering Gallen is unavailable for Game 1, the most important game of the series. Reds aren't dead either. If they win these last two vs. the Cardinals, who have checked out as we all know, and the Astros do the same to the Dbacks, they're in and come to Milwaukee.
  12. I was at the game last night, and I can tell you it's been a lot worse in the past. Brewers fans were louder and more numerous than Cubs fans.
  13. That’s not what you said though. You said you hope the playoffs aren’t going to be a showcase for his idiotic managing decisions. I don’t think we have to worry about being out managed in the postseason. CC will make mistakes because nobody is perfect, but he is no idiot. He’s the best manager in baseball.
  14. You would think we would be past the point of people thinking CC is an idiotic manager by now. Alas, not….
  15. It is what it is. Devin being ready for the postseason is more important. Plus, the Cubs are still highly unlikely to make the postseason regardless of this outcome.
  16. Just like the regular season, right?
  17. Then you have a longer layoff before the postseason…CC has a plan and isn’t going to deviate from it just for that extra emotional element.
  18. Again, I’m almost certain that Devin is scheduled to pitch tomorrow and CC doesn’t want him pitching back to back before the playoffs. Sucks, but this is a spring training game for the Brewers.
  19. Probably because he’s going to use Devin tomorrow one last time and doesn’t want to pitch him back to back.
  20. Monasterio has been worse and adds little power. Now, Turang is a different story.
