    Mets have a huge $ advantage over the Brewers for sure, but the Brewers are arguably starting in a better position organizationally with their young talent and top 3 farm system. I think if Attanasio matches his other offers, CC comes back. There's no guarantee he'd ever get another chance to manage in Milwaukee, and I wouldn't assume his reputation wouldn't suffer if he left for the Mets.

    Add Ken Rosenthal as someone who thinks CC ends up back in Milwaukee...Of course, he says that's dependent on whether the Brewers offer him what he thinks is a fair price. So, who knows. d

    Your obsession with me is one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever encountered. It’s pure childishness. All I literally did was share articles from two insiders who both say that Cleveland is a long shot and that CC most likely ends up back in Milwaukee. It’s not even my opinion (I personally think it’s more 50/50 he comes back) and nowhere did I say him signing a contract with the Brewers is imminent. And, yes, generally the goal of rebuilding is to build up your farm system to an elite level through a tear down of your major league roster and then tanking. However, per literally all of the major outlets, the Brewers already have an elite farm system, with each of their top 6 prospects at the upper levels of the minors. Thus, a rebuild=unnecessary.

    Chourio is obviously going to be the top priority in this OF. I think you put him in CF from the moment he makes his debut. Frelick is probably then the safest bet with the bat. His best fit imo is in LF, which would obviously require a shift of Yelich to 1B or DH. RF is then up for grabs between Taylor, Mitchell, and Wiemer. Something like a Mitchell-Wiemer platoon would probably be the most ideal. But they also have more questions with the bat than a guy like Tyrone Taylor who was a huge part of why we ended up running away with the division in September. Eventually, I think you trade him, but for now I think he's gotta be the starter. Wiemer starts the season in AAA.

    Because the Brewers want to keep ticket prices low. They have some of the lowest prices in baseball, which they argue allows more people to come to games.

    Im pretty sure a team like the Dodgers would have little problem offering him a contract this offseason. Elite pitchers like him are really hard to come by, and they've done something similar in the past. As long as Woody and his agent are willing to be reasonable, I have little problem with a potential deal.

    You seriously want to talk to me about condescending? Tell me, what do the words "freakishly ridiculous to abandon that fact" convey? I forgot one word in an honest error that sometimes occurs when you're posting in a hurry or from a phone. I'm well aware of the fact that the Brewers have been in a World Series, considering it's in my freaking username. No spinning necessary. But go on....

    If he and his agent are willing to be reasonable about it, I have no issues with a 2 for 1 deal, with maybe an option added. Julio Urias, for instance, had this surgery in 2017 and went right back to being an ace afterwards until this year. Granted, he was much younger, but Woody's not that old, either.

    Yep definitely worth the risk. Interestingly, all it took for the Dbacks to decide to extend Carroll was one month. Mariners waited a little longer with Rodriguez and it cost them a more.

    Neither Caminero or Mead are going to be able to play SS in the majors. Or at the very least on a full-time basis. They do, however, also have Carson Williams who is in AA and a top 50 prospect.
