  1. I went to 2 games in the 2018 playoffs. One against the Rockies and one against the Dodgers (Woodruff HR game) and I totally agree. Not comparable atmosphere to Citizens Bank Park. Those fans are insanely loud. WI stadium atmosphere's kind of just lack across the board for some reason. Don't understand why.
  2. Hopefully Brock Wilken can be that guy for us. Also Riley has literally been the only good Braves hitter this series. Crazy how bad their offense has been so far.
  3. Super detailed thread from Trevor May talking about how he would approach pitching to Bryce Harper. Highly recommend reading it.
  4. Our pitching was pretty good in 2021. Only gave up 12 runs in 4 games against the Braves. Our offense just disappeared.
  5. MLB playoffs everyone!
  6. Just sucks that it's a pretty strong FA SP class. Hopefully that doesn't impact a potential Burnes trade market.
  7. Game 3 not 4. This is why before the Woodruff injury I thought we could make a run because the Dodgers pitching staff is not at all good by playoff standards.
  8. Arizona with 4 solo HR in the 3rd inning. Why does beating us in the playoffs give teams super powers?
  9. I mean they have scored 7 runs in 3 games. They would be struggling even if their pitching was doing well because their offense has only shown up in 1 game.
  10. Citizens Bank Park is absolutely electric. Has to be one of the best atmospheres in the MLB.
  11. Literally zero chance. Orioles are not trading Henderson or Holliday. Would you a Brewers fan trade Chourio for 1 year of Burnes and 2 years of Williams? Would you trade 5 years of William Contreras for 1 year of Burnes and 2 years of Williams? Henderson just put up a nearly 5 fWAR and 6 bWAR season and has 5 years of team control. Holliday is near unanimously the #1 prospect in baseball.
  12. Orioles laugh you off the phone if you mention Henderson or Rodriguez name in a potential Burnes trade. Let alone one of them plus one or two more prospects.
  13. Interesting. That's a pretty narrow window you are claiming you made that comment in. Alvarez was a Dodger for less than 2 months between June and August 2016.
  14. bWAR values Turang the most because DRS is outlier positive on Turang. It's the one defensive metric that loves him and I believe that baseball reference uses DRS to factor in dWAR. If you go by fWAR/600 PA and fWAR/60 IP for Uribe, I think it better illustrates how valuable each of them were. 1. Perkins - 4.3 fWAR/600 PA 2. Frelick - 3.8 fWAR/600 PA 3. Wiemer - 1.6 fWAR/600 PA 4. Uribe - 1.2 fWAR/60 IP 5. Monasterio - 0.8 fWAR/600 PA 6. Turang - 0.3 fWAR/600 PA Even bWAR this makes it look more clear. 1. Perkins - 4.3 bWAR/600 PA 2. Frelick - 3.2 bWAR/600 PA 3. Monasterio - 2.5 bWAR/600 PA 4. Turang - 2.1 bWAR/600 PA 5. Uribe - 2.0 bWAR/60 IP 6. Wiemer - 1.3 bWAR/600 PA One thing is very clear. Blake Perkins was very underrated by the voters. On a per game basis he was the best rookie. Really just a combo of competent hitting (88 wRC+), great baserunning, and great defense is how he got there.
  15. Yeah that's honestly a pretty decent comparison. Bonds career OPS vs RHP - 1.084 Bonds career OPS vs LHP - .986 I just always forget about Bonds because he was so absurdly roided up. Dude's head size doubled in his MLB career lol
  16. I'd like the Brewers to get one Yordan Alvarez please. I honestly cannot recall another LHH that has hit LHP as well as him. Here's the best LHH in baseball career splits (vs RHP then vs LHP). Harper - 150 vs 122 Freeman - 152 vs 120 Soto - 167 vs 127 Ohtani - 156 vs 123 Olson - 144 vs 116 Alvarez - 170 vs 158 Yordan vs LHP is 31 points better than the next closest and he's also the best vs RHP. Just an absolutely insane hitter.
  17. Yeah if Adames agent came to the Brewers asking for 4/$50 the Brewers would have a contract drawn up and signed within an hour before Adames agent and Adames come to their senses.
  18. No thanks. He's seriously trending down and is on the books through his age 36 season. Even if the Padres eat salary, that is a contract that could be negative value for plenty of seasons.
  19. Does this factor in context like the Twins playing in one of the worst divisions in MLB history?
  20. Where was this voted on? Pretty flabbergasted that Turang is third ahead of Uribe, Wiemer, and Perkins. Turang was easily our worst rookie this season. Among the 212 players with 400 PA this season Turang had tied for the second worst wRC+ at 60 which is 40% worse than league average. Truly an abomination at the plate. Perkins and Wiemer were better defensively and at the plate than Turang. Uribe pitched his way into a high leverage role and was pretty dominant.
  21. This would be why. Hitting a baseball is really hard and Gallen is elite at tunneling pitches off each other like this.
  22. Dodgers with a combined 2 IP from their Game 1 and 2 SP. Just crazy. They are pretty fortunate that the NLDS has an extra off day or their bullpen would be pretty wiped out by game 3 of the series.
  23. Dbacks up 3-0 in the 1st inning. Why do we always lose to the team that happens to go on the hottest run every playoffs?
  24. Yeah I just realized that people complaining about the bye is probably playing right into the MLB's hands to expand to a 16 team playoff.
