  1. In positive news, Luke Adams is continuing his insane hot streak. It’s the 3rd inning and he’s already 2-2 with a 2B and HR. The HR was a 427ft blast to straightaway CF over the 20ft wall
  2. Young just announced on the Mudcats broadcast that Hedbert Perez broke a bone in his foot running the bases on Tuesday. Really feel for the kid in the midst of possibly figuring it out at A ball
  3. Don’t have the money details yet but all the guys round 7-10 signed today and the 2 4-year college guys in rounds 11-20 signed as well.
  4. Brewers could go 4-5 in the next 9 games with 3 wins against the Reds and I would be content going 1-5 vs the Braves
  5. The Keston, Tyrone, Small, Lauer, Urias trade for Ohtani is going to be crazy.
  6. He's been LF/1B/DH/2B this year. 14 G at 1B, 5 G at 2B, 23 G in LF, 9 at DH.
  7. Phillies currently have a .016 xBA their 1st time through the order lol
  8. The 103 wRC+ and 4.9 runs per game were for the entire month.
  9. 103 wRC+ this month and averaging 4.9 runs per game. The offense was really good from July 1st to the All-Star break
  10. Hader has pitched more than an inning with the Padres 1 time and that was in the playoffs, so that's not at all true.
  11. I didn’t even realize Mejia was out of options. Yeah he’s definitely a DFA candidate for that reason alone.
  12. 1. Contreras has above average pop time to 2B. A lot of the SB against him he hasn't even had a chance on and his framing still grades as one of the best in the MLB. He's 7th among MLB catchers in Fielding Run Value, 2nd in DRS, 2nd in Framing, and 2nd in Fangraphs catcher defense. 2. He currently has a 119 wRC+ and is 4th in the MLB in catcher fWAR despite being 9th in catcher PA. 3. Factoring in all these things, he's easily been a top 5 catcher in the MLB this season.
  13. Well deserved promotion for Nate Peterson.
  14. I would definitely trade for Bellinger, but I'm not giving up any of my top 10-15 prospects for 2 months of a dude overperforming that significantly. Freddy Zamora, Ethan Small, and a DSL lottery ticket is about what I would give up for him.
  15. Bellinger's actual slash line is .308/.365/.523 for an .888 OPS Bellinger's expected slash line is .252/.316/.400 for a .716 OPS That overperformance is the 3rd biggest overperformance among the 269 hitters qualified for the Savant Leaderboards. He's due for major regression.
  16. Figured I would post here. Gasser just made Baseball America’s top 100 with Elly De La Cruz graduating.
  17. Brewers have $4,528,130 left counting the 5% overage. Think you must not have seen Boeve signed for $1.2M because that's pretty much the number your rough math is off.
  18. I very much doubt picks 7-10 are getting $100K each.
  19. The Southern League (AA League that Biloxi was in) was experimenting with pre-tacked baseballs in the 1st half of the season. Basically normal baseballs that are dipped into sticky stuff to provide better grip. This made a lot of Southern League pitchers dramatically improve their pitch movement and spin making the already difficult jump to AA even harder for hitters. As of last Friday, they switched to the same baseballs the MLB is using that are just mudded not dipped in sticky stuff.
