Yophery starts out the 9th with another strikeout. I was hoping that strikeout rate would have started to trend down at this point, but it continues sitting in that mid to upper 30's range.

Ernesto Martinez just hit an absolute bomb. Unfortunately no EV or distance, but I did not see the ball drop over the fence in RF.
  3. wiguy94
KC Hunt and Garcia combine for the old strike 'em out, throw 'em out double play to send the Mudcats to the plate for a chance at a walk off. Nice tight slider that the hitter swung right underneath.
  4. wiguy94
Juan Baez with you guessed it another caught stealing.
  5. wiguy94
They can recall someone. His suspension won't be served until he's back in the MLB.
  6. wiguy94
Probably serves the suspension when he's recalled.
  7. wiguy94
I mean that's what Siri said, so big time grain of salt there.
  8. wiguy94
    Yes
  9. wiguy94
The peripherals are screaming hard regression but he just keeps chugging along.
  10. wiguy94
I can't imagine the appeal process will take a week.
  11. wiguy94
Because Freddy isn't playing during the appeal process, will these games retroactively count towards his suspension? If not feels like appealing was a pretty silly move.
  12. wiguy94
They then had the beekeeper throw out the first pitch
  13. wiguy94
Somehow this Brewer game wasn't the strangest MLB game tonight. The Dbacks-Dodgers game was delayed because a bee hive was in the netting behind homeplate.

I'm honestly a bit terrified to see what that Norfolk lineup does to Aaron Ashby tomorrow. The pitches they hit out against Gasser were not bad pitches and they crushed them.
  15. wiguy94
Clown show from the umps in the postgame.
  16. wiguy94
I doubt Uribe and Siri get that many. Ramirez and Anderson only got 3 and 6 respectively last year.
  17. wiguy94
Nope. Have to play with 25 players.
  18. wiguy94
Another 1-2-3 inning for Rodriguez. He's been a weak contact machine today. Pretty much everything is off the end of the bat.
  19. wiguy94
Juan Baez with another caught stealing haha. This kid is funny.
  20. wiguy94
For an 18 year old he has seemed extremely composed and confident on the mound.

Wichrowski is starting for Biloxi on Friday per Javik.
  22. wiguy94
    Great work! Awesome news.
  23. wiguy94
So TJ Shook is listed as the SP for Biloxi tomorrow. Previously the order had been Misiorowski-Blalock-Woessner-Shook-Peterson. Woessner is not listed as a SP for Biloxi at all this week. Are we officially on Woessner promotion watch or maybe nursing a small injury?
  24. wiguy94
Straight from the rulebook, "If a batter strikes at a ball and misses and swings so hard he carries the bat all the way around and ,in the umpire's judgment, unintentionally hits the catcher or ball in the back of him on the backswing, it shall be called a strike only (not interference). The ball will be dead, however, and no runner shall advance on the play" It's very cut and dry. The umps made the right call.
  25. wiguy94
It doesn't matter. Once the bat hits the catcher in the head the play is dead so no runners can advance.
