    Really wish Adames didn't have 5 years of service time so we could option him to AAA with Urias.

    Does Down East have like a white batter's eye or something? Why can the Mudcats never hit when they play there.

    For the 10,000th time, the league offensive environment was down last year because they were using dead baseballs. His OPS+ and wRC+ which are league adjusted stats were virtually identical in 2021 and 2022. Why does this need to be explained so often on this site?

    He was literally just as good in 2022 as he was in 2021???

    Arcia's career year is a bit extreme. It's halfway through the season and his underlying numbers are bad. He currently has a .363 BABIP which is 70 points over his career average. His .311 xwOBA would be around like a 90 wRC+. Which isn't exactly a career year.

    Think tonight either ends in a big win or a big loss. Brewers bullpen is a bit ravaged at the moment, so we might see Houser and Pannone eat innings tonight even if it means an L. Williams has pitched 3 of the last 4 days. Payamps had that slip/ankle roll so he could be down for a day. Peguero has pitched 4 of the last 5 days. Milner has pitched 4 of the last 5 days. Wilson has pitched 2 days in a row. I could see a world where Pannone and Bush are our only available RP tonight.

    Would be a great target, but he might be pricy. He's also overperforming his xwOBA by 20 points, so not sure his offensive production will maintain at his current level.

    Agreed although it would be pretty hilarious if we did trade for him for something not that important. Would make the Hader trade last year look even better.

    Feel like the fact it's Urias being optioned and not Monasterio that they specifically have something they want Urias to work on down in AAA.

    You beat me by like a second haha. Really curious how the clubhouse reacts to this. Specifically how Adames and Peralta react. Rowdy does not have options unfortunately.

    Tapia also seems like an easy DFA candidate when Taylor is ready again or Frelick gets the call.

    Yelich is on pace for a 5 fWAR season. That's well outperforming his contract, so no we don't need even more.

    I feel like I’ve heard nothing about Tyrone since he went back on the IL. I know he got a second PRP injection but have heard nothing about timelines. Feel like he could definitely be pushed to the 60-day.

    Feel like concern over the Cape performance is probably less wood bat related and more small college struggling against better competition on the Cape. I agree with you that any concern is probably overstated

    His BABIP is 70 points over his career average. Maybe he's cracked the code and is going to way overperform his peripherals, but seems more likely the .400 BABIP he was rocking a week or so ago is going to continue to trend down until he's a below league average hitter just like he was in Milwaukee.

    Padres and Mets great case studies that just throwing money/prospects at anything with a big name isn't a surefire way to create a winning team. Stearns may very well go to the Mets but that team is riddled with old players and bad contracts and their best hitter is a FA next offseason. Their farm system isn't anything special especially on the pitching side.

    Yeah but what above their above average bullpen that doesn't have a single healthy pitcher with an ERA below 4!

    Arcia is 3 for his last 33 and has a worse xwOBA than Adames.

    Russell Smith is not a good pitcher. Bailed out by a great throw from LF to get the out at home, but he's blown the lead.

    Unfortunately it is at Down East week again for Carolina...which I believe means no MiLBtv broadcast.

    I've wondered for a while if there was an injury there. His velo has been down and his command has been abhorrent in the last 4-6 weeks.
