  1. The worthless in the playoffs Blake Perkins is one of only four Brewers hitters to have a wRC+ over 100 in the playoffs over the last two years.
  2. By the stats you shared starting Vaughn against RHP has a significantly worse record but I’m sure people are going to ignore that one because it doesn’t fit agendas.
  3. One guy I'd be kind of interested in is Steven Cruz on the Royals. He's been pretty terrible this year and I'm not sure the Royals would trade him but he has options and some really intriguing tools to work with. Maybe the Brewers could get him to that next level.
  4. Stone Garrett just shared an insane story about Josh Naylor https://x.com/supastario/status/2071743472608952785
  5. Basically been completely dominant since that two appearance stretch in mid April where he gave up 7 runs.
  6. Turang gets 3 AB against the LHP because Murphy insists on keeping Turang at the top of the order against LHP despite a complete inability to hit LHP.
  7. Looks like they aren't DFA'ing Kuhnel which feels like a mistake. You need Gasser to go at least 6 innings tonight and hopefully more than that. Red - Kuhnel, Patrick Yellow - Anderson, Ashby, Uribe, Megill Green - Koenig
  8. McGee has been. Rom and Yoho have not and they both pitched yesterday so they wouldn't be fresh today.
  9. You just have to imagine Kuhnel is getting DFA'd today and a fresh arm is being called up.
  10. He postponed the hip surgery until after the season
  11. Kuhnel as a Brewer has a FIP over 10 with a 19% K-rate and 14% BB-rate. He’s been objectively terrible. xERA and ERA are both over 6. SIERA is pushing 5. He’s thrown 44 pitches over the last two days and likely needs to be down a day or two when our pen is already stretched extremely thin. It would be incredibly shocking if he was still on the team tomorrow.
  12. That's not a 6 man rotation though and they want a 6 man rotation to keep Misiorowski, Harrison, and Woodruff at minimum 5 days rest.
  13. Henderson dominating through two innings in his rehab start tonight. I don't think the Brewers will do it but I'd be tempted to just bring him back after this outing and having him pitch out of the bullpen during this stretch then stretch him back out post ASB
  14. That didn't end up mattering. Mitchell hit in that spot next time around and drew a bases loaded walk.
  15. I don’t think that’s what happened on that 2-1 pitch. I think he was zeroing in on a changeup and that’s why he took it.
  16. It’s probably overreacting but if Arnold doesn’t do something to fix the bullpen and fast, I think the division lead will basically be gone by the ASB. We have 2 relievers you can trust right now.
  17. I think it’s pretty clear that something with the light and batter’s eye is a huge reason nobody on either team could hit in the first two games of that series. It was overcast in game 3 and both offenses looked much better
  18. Shoulder impingement. He hasn’t caught since early May
  19. I mean probably they are like 3 years ahead of the Sharks rebuild so they will have to enjoy it while it lasts
  20. I think with Schmitt it would all come down to if the Brewers think they can improve his swing decisions and how highly San Francisco values him. If the Brewers think they can get him to average swing decisions I think it could curb a lot of that regresssion. There’s a sweet spot in there where the Brewers think they can improve the swing decisions and the Giants view him as a regression candidate they are selling high on but it’s pretty slim. If the Giants value him by his surface numbers with 3 years of control you can probably rule out trading for him regardless of how the Brewers feel about him.
  21. Murphy is certainly asking way too much of Patrick and I'm going to go there but maybe he would have looked better on Wednesday/today if he hadn't been burned for 3 innings and 40 pitches up 7 runs in Atlanta. 40 pitches on Sunday, 40 pitches on Wednesday, then coming in today likely being asked to go multiple innings and. Like that's not a reasonable ask for a reliever in my opinion.
  22. Well today was a bit of a nightmare. Mitchell potentially hurt. Our bullpen is in shambles with very few potential replacements in AAA and we have 16 games in the next 15 days. The offense is going to need to wake up. Way too many low run outputs from them lately.
  23. We have 3 viable relievers right now (maybe Koenig is 4). Arnold needs to do something.
