  1. I mean of course I don't mean Top 100 but you could probably get a couple of mid-teens org level prospects if the Brewers eat some of the mutual option buyout money and I wouldn't consider that a lottery ticket.
  2. I still think one of the craziest Misiorowski stats this year is that coming into the season he had 32 HBP in 170.1 IP. That's about 1.7 HBP/9 innings. This season he has 0 HBP in 42.1 IP.
  3. I think Johnson probably will pitch a decent amount today. I'd expect him and DeBerry to potentially go 6+ innings. With Torres and Gillis set for likely shorter outings on Sunday due to pitching on 4 days rest, I'm guessing Carolina didn't want to burn another RP last night. Such is the way in the low minors where you're managing pitching workloads as much (if not more) as you're trying to win.
  4. I wouldn't even be opposed to a bigger retool. There are some tasty trade options with 1-2 years of team control after this year. For sure you could sell - Civale, Cortes, Woodruff, Quintana, Hoskins, Bauers (if he is still hitting) Could potentially sell - Payamps (if he continues to pitch how he has the last 2 weeks), Megill, Mears Could sell if you're feeling like a 1-2 year retool - Peralta and Contreras
  5. Do we think the Brewers will protect him from the Rule 5 draft this offseason?
  6. According to Baseball American his 102.3mph pitch in the first was the hardest pitch thrown by a starting pitcher in AAA or MLB this season.
  7. 1B with a 130 wRC+ would definitely net a solid prospect at least at the deadline.
  8. Expiring means they are expiring and will be FA after the season. Hoskins is the only expiring position player. Pitchers can be expiring too....it's not difficult to understand.
  9. Lol. Hoskins is our only expiring position player and has been our best hitter.
  10. Glass half full is that if this team continues to not look very good the Brewers have plenty of expiring players that could net decent returns at the trade deadline
  11. Regardless of the ump call, I have no clue why Turang was throwing behind the runner on 3rd there. I literally watched the Carolina Mudcats have that exact same situation earlier this week and they handled it so much better despite being an infield made up of pretty much entirely infielders.
  12. Jacob Misiorowski might have just had the most disgusting inning I've ever seen. 16 pitches, struck out the side. Threw 10 FB that averaged 101.1 and was up to 102.3
  13. I'm sorry but you just shouldn't be making a comparison of May 8th attendance average to full season attendance average. If you want to make a comparison it needs to be to attendance numbers at this point in previous years. Also because you're not from Wisconsin maybe you just aren't as familiar with this but the Brewers are far more of a state team than a Milwaukee team. Brewers play in the smallest metro in the MLB with many people in the Racine/Kenosha area south of Milwaukee being Cubs fans. Early in the season when the weather isn't great and school is in session the Brewers attendance typically doesn't look good. As the school year ends attendance typically starts to improve.
  14. Courtesy of his instagram, it looks like Jorge Quintana's first stateside HR tonight came off the bat at 108mph
  15. Now we get Wenderlyn King's stateside debut!
  16. He came back out for one batter in the 5th and got a flyout on 4 pitches. 4.1 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO 63 pitches, 42 strikes 6 called strikes, 14 whiffs (34 swings)
  17. Gave up a leadoff single in the 4th then went flyout, strikeout, flyout. 4 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO 59 pitches, 40 strikes 6 called strikes, 14 whiffs (34 swings)
  18. 1-2-3 3rd with a flyout and two lineouts. 50 pitches, 34 strikes 6 called strikes, 12 whiffs (28 swings)
  19. Struck out the side in inning 2. 2 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO 38 pitches, 25 strikes 5 called strikes, 12 whiffs (20 swings) That's a 60% whiff rate and 45% CSW rate
  20. Well first inning was something! Looks like tonight has pitch data again. 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO 22 pitches, 13 strikes If the numbers are correct he had 9 whiffs on 13 swings.
  21. It's not an age crutch. You're just being hyperbolic and overly critical. I've watched most of Made's games at SS and you're over exaggerating about how frequently he looks bad there. For perspective on the age difference. Made won't play a professional game being at least the age Pratt was during Pratt's full season debut until minor league opening day in 2027. When Pratt was Made's age he was just about to start his senior year of high school and was 11 months from even being drafted.
