  1. The whole point of the opener is so that he doesn't have to face the top of the order a 3rd time while being able to pitch 5-6 innings. Instead of having to face Holliday and Henderson at the top of the order the 3rd time through they are at the bottom. It's called protecting a bad SP. Same thing we did with Wilson and Rea last year
  2. Priester has gigantic platoon splits and the O's have a bunch of really good LHH at the top of their order.
  3. Have to feel like Edgardo Ordonez will be headed to Carolina so he can actually get playing time. Maybe small chance they send Blayberg back down to Carolina to give Carolina an experienced catcher to share time with Walther and Martinez
  4. I know Burke's overall wRC+ looks good but under the hood I think he looks like a guy who hasn't yet mastered A+. He's rocking a 56% GB-rate this season. I think you want to see him more consistently hitting the ball in the air before you push him to AA.
  5. Oh my that is something haha
  6. If I had the choice it would definitely be Misiorowski. I just think it won't be him. Feel like if he was making his next start in MLB it would already be known.
  7. Yeah only one and I'd bet it will be Rodriguez.
  8. 7 games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh this week. Baltimore has the worst pitching staff in MLB and Pittsburgh has the 2nd worst offense in MLB. Brewers need to show up and go 5-2 this week.
  9. Brody Hopkins buzzed a near 100mph FB past Wilken's face on Friday and I feel like he's looked uncomfortable in the box since then. 0-8 with 2 BB and 6 SO since that happened.
  10. That's actually kind of crazy. They got to 4 games below .500 a few times in 2020 but always won the next game.
  11. Yeah he's making less contact than he did in 2024 in Carolina while hitting for substantially less power. That's not the recipe you want to see.
  12. He's taken quite a tumble in prospect status this year. Looks like a full time 1B and has seriously struggled at the plate this year.
  13. Just feels like we are never going to see a healthy Carolina team. Pena probably has a concussion from that. Payne is dealing with something. Adamczewski is dealing with a back issue. Why can't we just get a healthy stretch from Carolina.
  14. I don't know how Al Laboeuf is still employed when it looks like multiple hitters on the roster are just completely broken
  15. Chandler Welch might not be long for professional baseball. After seriously struggling in A+ to get demoted to A and give up 3 HR in your first start...tough scenes
  16. He's probably getting called up to start next week in the spot Myers just pitched in.
  17. I don't think Carolina can afford for it to be an abbreviated start. I think they are going to ask him to get that pitch count up to 90-100 area considering the state of their pitching staff.
  18. Arnold wasn't even charge during the Olson move. Should we retroactively tell Stearns he's fired?
  19. 95% catch probability so you thought right. Chourio could a horrible jump and read and even still could have caught it he just whiffed it.
  20. I'd move Mears up a tier to possibly trade. Otherwise I pretty much completely agree, I'd also have a separate tier for Woodruff that's basically if he wants to be traded then trade him. If he doesn't then keep him. As for some fits, for Hoskins you have Texas, Kansas City, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston. All those teams are getting sub 100 wRC+ from 1B and DH combined this year. For the pitchers, pretty much every team could use a pitcher or two at the deadline so all of them could be fits.
  21. Ryan Jeffers had as many hard hit balls tonight as the entire Brewers team. Al Laboeuf...you're fired.
  22. The Rays are also 21-24. They have 7 wins when the opponent scores more than 3 runs.
  23. Here's an insane stat. It's May 17th and game 46 for the Brewers. The Brewers have won 2 games this season when our opponent scores more than 3 runs.
