  1. Wow, sounds like maybe something coming out of the blue at this point?
  2. From Haudricourt: SS Craig Counsell RF Frank Catalonotto LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder 3B Mat Gamel 2B Casey McGehee CF Jody Gerut C Jason Kendall RHP Yovani Gallardo Well, you can notice who all isn't starting today.
  3. I am going to this game today. I would like to avoid seeing a sweep at Miller Park. Please get some hits, guys.
  4. Fielder and Braun last year when they were swapped comes to mind. . Reports were the two met with Yost, and that's why he switched them back to having Braun bat third and Fielder bat cleanup. So clearly they were bothered or at least thought it would help them do better.
  5. These days I think you could relocate the Bucks to La Crosse, Eau Claire, or someplace like that and no one in the Milwaukee area would notice.
  6. Interesting to hear Melvin be so blunt about it, according to what you posted, Briggs. I do hope Parra turns things around, but if not, it's good to know Melvin won't stand idle.
  7. Almost the entire offense is looking completely anemic right now. When Craig Counsell is your third best offensive player, you know you're going to have problems.
  8. Does Braun actually have a regular girlfriend right now? Just wondering.
  9. I was feeling the same way, but checked it out, out of curiosity. I think it's neat, but that's just my opinion.
  10. I like it! Pretty cool. Very professional looking, too.
  11. I would think realistically it would be more like the Marlins having the southern part of Florida, the Rays in the middle, and the Braves taking the panhandle, probably. Also, why does the Marlins "territory" dip into Georgia? That seems odd.
  12. Some people were complaining last night in the chat about him being a Boras client, but I don't get the feeling it's going to be much of an issue.
  13. Hmmmm...are they really big Tigers fans up in the U.P? I'd be curious about that. I also wonder if Oklahoma is really big Rangers country. Otherwise it looks about as accurate as something like this could be.
  14. Really only Ramirez and Soriano at this point, honestly. Derek Lee seems to have declined quite a bit.
  15. .228 .310 .359 .668 That is Hardy's line right now. Could Escobar really not match that at this point?
  16. I think Hart probably needs some days off to at least clear his head. I'd give Cat and Gerut some starts and see what sticks.
  17. That Jimmy Fallon clip was awesome, anyway. Also surprised they apparently have Elizabeth Berkley on board for this "reunion", but I guess her career hasn't exactly done much since "Showgirls."
  18. Well, now we're faced with Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Chicago all basically tied for second place at 2.5 games back. It would be nice to start creating some separation and playing like a first place team. The last two games have been the Brewers' to win, and they've just given them away. Sunday was bad pitching, last night was bad offense.
  19. I'm now on board with trading Hardy now and putting Escobar at SS. I think the Brewers have probably regretted not trading some guys while their value was high, and I don't want Hardy to be another one. He's not bringing enough to the table for us right now anyway. May as well give Escobar the chance.
  20. Like I said in the chat, big tall pitchers are usually a somewhat safe bet.
  21. I get what you're saying...but when you compare the two incidents, I think anyone would agree that Zambrano's tirade was much more out of line and grievous than Cameron's was.
  22. It's probably not in the interest of the players. It's in the interest of their agent.
  23. I heard a good point raised on the D-List this morning...Zambrano's tirade where he chucked the ball and "threw out" the ump got him basically a one game suspension (6 games, technically, but only one start). How does Cameron's incidental contact with the ump warrant two games?
  24. Well, supposedly Milwaukee was on Johnson's "short list" this off-season, but he ended up signing with the Giants in order to be closer to home. I'm assuming he has a no trade clause and not sure whether he would waive it to come here or not. While I like Johnson, I wouldn't expect him to be a big upgrade over what we have now at this point.
