  1. I use both hotmail and gmail. I would give the edge to gmail...the web interface isn't fancy, but it's nice and quick, and I like the conversation trees. By comparison, Hotmail is slow (sometimes) and kind of clunky.
  2. I like both Anderson and Schroeder. I hope they are the Brewers TV announcers for a long time to come.
  3. They did give him a pretty nice contract extension earlier this year. If Fielder wants to leave, he'll leave. The Brewers have already tried to keep him, and I would bet they'll make him at least one more offer before he leaves for free agency or is traded.
  4. I'd love to get Tex, but I don't think the Brewers will be able to meet his asking price, if rumors are true.
  5. I almost hope they don't designate a closer. I guess I've grown tired of the idea that you have to have a guy you can only use in the last inning, in close situations. It just seems like one of those weird baseball-isms that should be overlooked by a team like the Brewers. That said, I'd be fine with any of McClung, Torres, or Villanueva getting a shot at it. I don't think the Brewers need to spend a ton on a "closer".
  6. Getting rid of Hall and Cameron would sort of be a salary dump, whcih would be nice if it helps the Brewers sign CC or another high level starting pitcher. I would just hope Brewers fans wouldn't be blinded by the pinstripes and think Melky Cabrera would instantly be some kind of superstar in Milwaukee.
  7. Trenni is good. If you listen to her on 540 AM (she's usually on the D-List Tuesday and Thursday mornings), she's pretty knowledgable on the Brewers, and sports in general.
  8. I don't think it's fair to say people threw Sheets "under the bus" when CC came to Milwaukee. If anything, people were excited to have two high caliber pitchers at the top of the rotation. I think many fans just got frustrated at the end of the year when Sheets couldn't go, yet again, when the team really could have used him. Personally, I'd like to see him back with the team if the price was reasonable. I just think some other organization is going to overpay him.
  9. Just because she's going to be doing MLB Network, does that necessarily mean she won't be doing FSN Wisconsin Brewers games anymore?
  10. That article is weird. I have a hard time believing that. Actually, I think I just figured it out...100 million USD would be roughly 145 million in Australian dollars. Maybe that's where the 147 figure comes from in their article.
  11. Someone needs to tell this joker to go back under his rock.
  12. Why would they give up Martin to get Varitek? That makes no sense at all. But yeah, I'd be all over Martin. I just doubt he would be available for cheap.
  13. I had heard on the radio that since the Olympics, China's demand for oil has drastically declined. That is probably helping to cause gas prices to fall.
  14. Two World Series rings and multiple play off appearances. Hard for any player to ask for much more success than that.
  15. Heard the Yankees are intersted. If they sign him up for six years, I'll laugh. I hope they do, I really do.
  16. Yeah, that is what I would hate. At least hopefully Sabathia's talk about liking Milwaukee is more sincere than Coco's was.
  17. What probably happened was that the Rangers' GM wanted to improve their pitching staff, so he had his office staff "Go after Maddux." Only he meant Greg. When Mike saw the offer that was intended for his brother, he couldn't hesitate to sign.
  18. At this point, despite his injuries and substandard performance this past season, I wouldn't want to see Suppan going if we _do_ lose both Sheets and Sabathia...
  19. I think everyone is being really premature. The derision over the offer to CC is based on only one report. Also, there can still be an opportunity for negotiation. It seems reasonable to expect that the Brewers' first offer wouldn't be their final/best offer. I know everyone wants CC back (well, pretty much everyone on this board). I sure do...I'll be the first to celebrate if Sabathia is back. I don't care if it's 4-6 years...I want the man back in Milwaukee. But we have to be patient.
  20. To be honest, I'm surprised they haven't come out with an alternate uniform playing up the red color, though that would probably look pretty ugly.
  21. The brick red in the baseball.
  22. If Trenni leaves FSN Wisconsin, there's going to be a lot of disappointed viewers.
  23. The Brewers made Lee a good, competitive offer. In the end, the Astros signed him for an insane amount that will probably burn them in the long run. The Brewers were unwilling to do that, nor should they have.
  24. 2.5 hours would be tough. They've gotten the average down to around 3, which is pretty good. My main problem, like I said, is with the post-season games, particularly on FOX. They squeeze so many commercials and extra junk in there, that what should be about a three hour game takes four or five to watch.
  25. The ending stunk. I hate that Michael and Holly just started dating, and now they're already broken up. I assume they'll eventually somehow reconcile, though.
