  1. Listening to the Braves radio broadcast. Always like Jim Powell. However, not sure who the other guy is, but he showed very little excitement in calling a ball hit to Machado that sounded like a DP opportunity to get the Dodgers out of a jam and Machado booted it.
  2. Not confident of actually being able to secure tickets.... (and want them in hand)... plus, with work tomorrow, unlikely that I'd be able to be in "que" Funny, I've never thought about that, but yes, they always have these sales start at 10am on weekdays. There are a lot of people who are unable to participate at that time.
  3. I will say it's fun and relaxing sitting back and watching other playoff games knowing my team has already secured it's spot in the next round!
  4. Hourly forecast calling for a better than 50% chance of rain during the game. but looking at the radar I'm not sure where that is coming from. Currently there is a batch of rain far west of Denver, but it seems to be moving straight northward. Then again, I'm not a meteorologist.
  5. Not understanding that either, but as of today Marquez is listed as the scheduled starter on Sunday. Ok?
  6. Heads up to anyone going to the game. I have seen this happen before, but when it rains, people cancel their tail gate plans and a lot of people end up showing up at the game at the same time creating long traffic lines. Get there early if you can!
  7. Never thought about that. If the ushers are not checking everyone, SRO holders can kind of "create their own seat" in the bench style bleachers. I would be very annoyed if I had paid for one of those seats and that was happening. Even if they are checking at the top of the section all you have to have is a screenshot of a seat in that section. If they would’ve checked everyone in the row once seated there’s a good chance they’d have found duplicate tickets/screenshoots. The logistics of that would be problem-some as well, would everyone pass their phone down the row for the usher to check the "screenshot"? This didn't happen to me but I'm still very annoyed about it. People suck some times!
  8. Hader did back to back twice after pitching one inning (April 21-22 and August 19-20), but never after pitching more than inning.
  9. The guys sitting in front of us were also upset about Broxton coming up in that situation, but I just assumed that other than Kratz, that was the only right handed option he had off the bench at that point.

  11. We were in section 218 yesterday and noticed that row 8 (or 7?) of section 217 was completely empty. The same row was mostly empty in section 216.
  12. Are you talking about back to back days or back to back games? May have missed one, but could only find 4 times that Hader pitched back to back days (4/21-/22, 6/26-6/27, 8/4-8/5, and 8/29-8/30). If my math is correct he threw a total of 5 innings in those 4 games (the 2nd game), gave up 1 ER, 3H, 2BB, and 8 K. Also in the preceding game he only threw a full inning once (on 4/21), the other 3 preceding games he threw 1/3 of an inning, 1/3 of an inning, and 2/3 of an inning. Burnes 2nd day stats are 3 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, 2 K I was going off the "days rest" table on Baseball Reference which I believe is calendar days. Looking at Hader's game log he pitched back to back days on: April 21, 22 June 26, 27 Aug 4,5 Aug 19,20 Aug 29,30 I also only counted up four the first time I looked at it. Missed one of the August ones. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/gl.fcgi?id=haderjo01&t=p&year=2018 Ah, yes, missed the August 19-20 days, and he pitched a full inning on Aug 19 and then came back with a 1-2-3 3K inning on the 20th.
  13. I like our chances in this series, especially after last nights win, but assuming we would face the Dodger's next.....they will not be bringing pitchers out of their bullpen with 6+ ERAs and 6 1/3 total inning of MLB experience like the Rockies did last night (and we did not score on either of those guys).

  15. Ok. We may have just missed it, but could not recall a pitch above 94. That's what really concerned me.
  16. So was at the game last night, and came on here this morning expecting to see some speculation about Jeffress. Maybe I missed it, but did not see anything. Also, could not find any post game comments from Counsell related to Jeffress. I know that there was a thread locked down yesterday in regards to JJ, and I don't want to get into any unfounded speculative discussion. However, is anyone concerned that his velocity was down yesterday and he didn't seem to be fooling anyone? Perhaps it was just a bad day, but with the recent "unavailability" of JJ, it's a bit concerning to me.
  17. If anyone is interested, Parking passes are currently available on StubHub for the Brewers at the Cubs in NLDS games 3 and 4. Nope, not a typo.
  18. Brewers have a 5-2 season record against the Rockies with Peralta getting 2 of the wins. Both teams have similar road records. Brewers have a better home record, but both are good at home. The additional wins that the Brewers have at home is just about equal to the extra total wins they have. Someone to dislike on the Rockies? Holliday maybe? I still remember that very cheap HR he hit down the right field line in the 2011 NLCS against us when he was with St. Louis (although, I believe we still won that game). I'm sure as the series develops, Brewer fans will find Rockies players that they can dislike.
  19. They didn't trade for Granderson to not have him in the playoffs. He's a lock to make the roster in my opinion. It's going to come down to whether they want Domingo's bat for pinch hitting opportunities, or Broxton's baserunning and defense for late game moves. I really like Granderson's approach at the plate and was wondering why they chose to pinch hit Thames over Granderson in several situations in the past few weeks. I sure hope he would make the playoff roster.
  20. Ticket prices have plummeted since last night. SRO was going for $120 at one point last night, they are now at $50. As a fan, enjoyed the Cubs losing last night. However, because of them losing, I will not be able to attend the Friday game. I have 4 tickets for tomorrow and I am selling two of them. At one point I thought I could make enough off the sale of those two tickets to offset most of the cost of all 3 NLDS games (can't risk assuming there will not be a game 5 - and if there is, there is no way I'm not going to that) and not have to miss any of them. Not the case any more.
  21. This makes the most sense to me. Also, I'll repeat the question someone else asked earlier this morning. Anyone know when they will announce the 25 man roster, or when's the deadline?
  22. I miss those basic, simple shows from that time. That was really fun to watch. Thanks!
  23. According to McCalvy, he was in uniform and in the stadium yesterday.
