Only April 16th, so kinda hard to make any conclusions about the success or failure of what the Brewers did and did not do in the off season. However, I don't believe any of the pitchers that were mentioned as possible acquisitions for the Brewers (Archer, Cobb, Lynn, Darvish) have gotten off to great starts. Arrieta has been respectable. Also, while Yelich has spent much of the early season on the DL, the key components of that trade (Brinson, Harrison, and Diaz) are all off to very slow starts at their respective levels. Brinson's numbers are brutal so far. Yes, I know, all these guys are young, but .131 BA, 1 RBI, 20/3 strikeout to walk ratio...that is beyond a "slow start" for an every day player.
