I got a phone call from head of HR. Being in IT, I have to help HR all the time. She asked me to come down and that my boss was already there. It turns out that they decided that they didn't need a programmer any more and have eliminated my position. I will receive 2 weeks of severance (as long as I sign the severance agreement within 7 days) and my 14 days of outstanding PTO. I was just starting to feel confident I would have enough money for our wedding in October. Life just sucks some times.
It depends on how long you plan on staying. If you are planning on quitting this summer, is different than staying there for another 2+ years. Try being honest with them on how long you planning on staying. They may let you have the job back temporarily while they look for a more "permanent" employee. It will get someone to do the job while they are searching and they wouldn't have to train you.
Remember that we had Brett Lawrie as a C prospect at one time. Then Lawrie was going to press Weeks out of a job. I would wait until Coulter is at least in AAA before you make organizational plans at his position. He might flame out in AA. He might have knee problems that force a position change. There are just too many variables to trade away a MLB C now.
Because it was the day before Winter Break. There probably wasn't going to be a lot of teaching going on. Now add in the amount of absent students and it doesn't make sense to have the others come in just to watch movies and party all day.
I believe the sign on the stadium was designed with the beer in mind. We then designed new uniforms to go with our new stadium. It made sense to have the same font on the jerseys as on the stadium. That is why it is the same font as a can of Milwaukee's 2nd best.
As much as I like a Braun jersey, I agree that taking BP at Miller Park is awesome. Even if I can't hit it out of the infield on the fly. Of course, I always use the Braun bat. I think next time I'll use a bat I can actually swing.
(the fan poll will be weighted the same as one judge’s vote). It looks like there will be at least 7 other voters each as powerful as the fan vote. I wonder if they will get to cast their "votes" after they know the results of the fans.
The new "DH tied to pitcher" would only get 2-3 bats a game. That's now just a PH that gets to go twice. When does the hitter become "tied" to the pitcher? Our DH makes the final out in the bottom of the 5th. We bring in Loe to pitch and declare Gamel the new DH. Loe gives up 5 runs. We decide we need to take him out and put in Parra. Does this mean Gamel must now leave the game? Or do we not have to "declare" the batter until the pitcher's spot comes up?
I like the German logo. The current logo is just too corporate and bland for me. It looks like a committee design. I wouldn't mind doing something new. That isn't a very realistic wall cling. 5'10'' high? That's not life sized, that's bigger than life sized.
Miller Park, Wrigley Field, Great American Bandbox, Enron Field, PNC Park, Busch Stadium Safeco Field, Angel Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, Ballpark in Arlington If I was a pitcher, let me pitch in Group B. Especially with Safeco as my home field.
Does anybody know if Braun has a no trade clause? If I were taking a huge hometown discount I would demand a no trade. Look what happened to Arroyo in Boston.
