  1. Kevin Seitzer, Bill Mueller are two examples off the top of my head that have good hit tools, but not much HR power. Wade boggs is another but that hit tool is otherworldly. You could throw Cirillo into that mix, but he had average HR power plus lots of gap power. It can be done, but the hit tool needs to be really good and the defense can't be a liability.
  2. I struggle with how I feel about Adams. I had him 19th on my list and really see a high risk of bust for him. As many have stated, his value right now is coming from his OBP (which is heavily driven by the HBP) and the stolen bases, which are both unlikely to continue as he moves up. He also has raw power but little in game power. What really bothers me (and I rarely rely on this statistic) is his low BA. A .230 average over the last two years is troubling. I cant think of a major league hitter that had that low of a BA in the minors. Schwarber hit .334 in the minors and even Gallo hit .250 in the minors. Couple that with his violent swing and it seems he is really going to struggle against advanced competition. Obviously he's very young and can make adjustments, but I just cant rate him that high until he makes some corrections.

  4. Definitely agree with Turang as most improved. Hopefully he can also add a gold glove this year. I would have listed Yelich as next most improved. Even though it was a shortened season, his hitting was vastly improved over the last 4 years. Perkins and Frelick are odd choices though. Their OPS+ actually regressed from last year. They got more than double the playing time so their counting stats are better but not sure that makes them more improved.
  5. Do we know what it will cost to stream Brewers games on mlb.com next year? Best I can tell, Padres fans who live in SD area could stream for $75 per year. That seems surprisingly reasonable considering I paid $20/month for the Bally app.
  6. If you need a pick me up after the tough post season loss, listen in to this from Just Baseball. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, skip ahead to org of the year and breakout hitter. That will make you positive about the Brewers future...
  7. Devin gave up 3 ER during the regular season. Just gave up 4 in the playoffs.
  8. That 8th inning was embarrassing. Lets go!
  9. So do we now have to tender Bauers a contract for next year?
  10. Mets have almost all RH lineup (just two lefties and a switch). We have three lefty pitchers and Ross and Devin. Do we go to Ross a second straight day?
  11. Frelick needs to run into walls all season long next year. What doesnt kill ya makes you stronger
  12. This is a good point, but he only had 95AB in A+ and its not like he dominated (700 OPS). He wont turn 21 until next August. There is really no reason to rush him to AA. Areinamo, Brown, and Adams can man AA infield.
  13. And KC Hunt does not need to be protected for two years (not one year as stated). Players 19 or older are eligible for Rule 5 draft after 4 years - so after the 2026 season. Though at his current trajectory, he may be in the majors by then 😉.
  14. This makes too much sense it likely wont happen. Walker would be ideal. A perennial 30-HR threat with a great glove. Realize he is older but I think the defense will play. Probably out of their price range but I would be all in.
  15. "I dont know if I pee'd my pants or its the champagne. I'll have to wait until tonight to find out" - Bob Uecker, 9/18/2024 ...Priceless
  16. Not promoting Ernesto to AAA this year seems like a sign to me. I hope I'm wrong, but that can't give him confidence the Brewers see him as a future major leaguer.
  17. If you just go by the numbers, KC Hunt and Luis Pena should be the winners
  18. Collins was not on the 40 man roster by Sept 1st, so not eligible for playoff roster (except under special circumstances.
