  1. I'm streaming a Netflix movie right now. $9/month for unlimted movies is great.
  2. The great thing about this game is that there is no "wrong" way to build your character. You can specialize your character in anyway you want based on weapon preference, karma, speech preference, etc. I think a good starting build for S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is high on Intelligence (maybe a 9), Endurance and Luck and low on Charisma (maybe a 1 unless you want Speech opitions). As far a Skills go, early on you want lots of Lockpick, Science, Medicine, Repair and a weapon speciality of your choice. I wouldn't waste points on Barter and the same with Speech (unless you want Speech options). As far as Perks early on, I would use Intense Training on the first few levels and then Comprehension and Educated. There is no wrong way to play as long as you are having fun. For new characters I would also recommend stocking up on Nuka Cola Quantums as you play for a bonus later.
  3. It's to bad Carlos Quentin ended up on the DL toward the end of the season. He was the best canidate up until he got injured.
  4. I think this is a great tool for parents and it comes on the heels of yet another study linking violent video games and teenage agression (Article). I just hope parents take the time to research the games they buy for their children or maybe even sit down next to them for 30 minutes and watch what their playing. Hopefully something like this is another step in the right direction. I don't think increased warnings ever really hurts anyone. I got carded buying Fable 2 a few weeks back which was a major shocker for me since A) Fable is such a cartoony game that I didn't think it carried a "Mature" rating and B) I don't carded for alcohol 75% of the time anymore. Either way, it's good to know someone is taking the ratings seriously. And I guess Fable does have some adult themes considering you can murder your gay husband in front of your children and then fart about it.
  5. I finished the Fallout 3 after 85 hours of gameplay and I can say without a doubt that it's the most immersed I've been in a video game in a long while. It's a top five game for me. I started up a new game file right away and I am 10 hours into it, but I think I'm going to take a break from video games for a couple of days. I want to play Fallout and Fable again. An unopened copy of Gears of War 2 is sitting on my desk and I'm curious about Left 4 Dead, but right now I'm on hiatus so I can go outside.
  6. My phone company sending me an e-mail that I should call them about why my service was cancelled.
  7. To be fair he has a 1.068 OPS at Coors field and .803 everywhere else. Add to that the fact that he is moving to a pitchers park, I would imagine a dropoff in offensive production.
  8. I'm at 50 hours of gameplay in Fallout 3 since November 2nd, which is about 5-6 hours a day of play. This game sucks me in and I forget what time it is. I started turning off my phone so I won't get bothered while I'm playing. It's really unheatlhly and addictive, as evidenced by that fact that I'm finishing up for the night at 5am. If you are a fan of video games you owe it to at least give this game a few hours of play. I'm at level 19 right now and really not even close to the end of the main quest.
  9. I think the two most important things for good sleep are routine and exercise during the day. It also helps to stay away from caffeine, especially right after you wake up in the morning Doctors recommend 8 hours of sleep, but some people operate better on 10 and others on 6 hours. Experiment and find out what feels right for you.
  10. I gave you a 5/5 and everyone else a 1/5, except the Travelocity Roaming Gnome which I couldn't help but rate a 5/5.
  11. I went down to my local courthouse about a week ago to see if I could vote early and the lines were insanely long, so I went home. I voted at noon today at my local polling place (the Friendship House) and there was zero wait time. I was in and out in about 5 minutes.

  13. I've been consumed by Fable 2 for the past week and I'm now starting Fallout 3. Fable 2 highly addictive and I recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the original Fable, the Zelda games, the Sims, or any non-traditional RPG/action-adventure games. It's got a good amount of noticeable glitches, but in the long run it doesn't take away from the gameplay. The story is great and there is always a task to complete, so you are never left wandering around looking for something to do. I'll try and report on Fallout 3 if I get some time to play. EDIT: I don't understand these people taking advantage of a glitch to get max money in Fable 2. Why not play the game the way it was designed to be played?
  14. Nothing really stands out from this episode. Probably my least favorite so far.......from this season.
  15. Can anyone post a link to the archived press conference with Macha earlier today?
  16. Congrats to Jenks and the Phillies. I was suprised at how happy I was for Jenkins after he got that double. Very huge for him and the Phils.
  17. Great line. I also thought it was great when Dwight closed the elevator on Phyllis on the wrong floor. And, "Nobody steals from Creed Bratton. The last guy who did that was never heard from again. His name.......Creed Bratton."
  18. I guess it's in the interpretation. I take it to mean, if the same lineup is following your leadoff hitter, wouldn't you rather have the guy who scores a few more runs than the guy who gets on base a few more times. Runs win games afterall........or is that too simplistic. I don't think I'm ready to see either Gamel or Escobar already at the start of next season, but if that's what it comes down to I think Escobar is the better choice. I think a slow progression at the plate is easier to handle (ala Hardy) then struggles in the field (ala Braun). Although with a bat like Braun's it was a little easier to forgive the miscues, which I don't think we'll get from Gamel right away. BTW, great summary dpapo.
  19. I go to the AVS forums for all my audio/video needs. Very helpful.
  20. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to go check it out.
  21. I heard on a Wisconsin radio station, from a member of the Wisconsin sports media that Philly was louder than Milwaukee on Saturday. While I thought that it was pretty loud, I felt that it could have been louder. I was ready to stand for the entire game, but I felt that a lot of people around me didn't share the sentiment. And at Sunday's game there was a lot less excitement. Anyone around me without a thunderstick wasn't making any noise, and the guy to my right was listening to the Packer game the entire time. All that said, I had a great time and didn't let anyone else's lack of excitement get in my way. I had a blast and made as much noise as I could.
  22. EDIT: Posted in the wrong thread. However, I was at this game and had an absolute blast. The keg was rocking from first pitch to last.
  23. Tony Gwynn just struck out against Myers, so I guess that would have been a more productive at bat than Hart's in the 1st had he started in place of Hart.
  24. If CC had been getting that call we'd still be winning.
