  1. A little over 6 hours to go until the deadline. I think they end up non-tendering just a few guys - mainly bullpen arms like Gustave, Gott, etc. I know he's a big clubhouse guy but it's probably in the team's best interest to move on from Suter. Just seems silly to pay him $3 million or whatever he's projected to get. The big surprises would be if they non-tendered Renfroe, Hiura or Houser.

  3. Couldn't agree more. I am not in the least bit interested in signing someone to play DH. That should go to Yelich which would open up another outfield spot for Frelick.

  5. I still have hope for Garcia and Valerio so that would be a bummer to lose them, but not a big surprise otherwise.

  7. Then we need to make an honest effort to build around them and I don't mean adding guys like Andrew McCutchen.

  9. Who the heck knows what to believe with these rumors. Yesterday, Rosenthal reported the exact opposite. The Brewers have to be the biggest mystery this offseason as far as which direction they are going to go.

  11. You have to pay to read it but Ken Rosenthal has an article about the Brewers possibly looking at trading Burnes and Houser this offseason. Don't know what was said beyond that.

  13. I could see Texas being very aggressive in a pursuit of Burnes. They spent a ton of money last offseason on offense and could obviously use some upgrades to their pitching staff. I know it’s ranked high, but I’m not super in love with their farm system. Jung is a good fit because he plays 3B but I’m not crazy about anyone else.

  15. Isn't Baltimore known to be very conservative when it comes to trading top prospects or was that a prior regime?

  17. Call it a hunch but I don’t think the Orioles would go all out to acquire Burnes. He’d likely be gone in two years and they would have had to trade some major prospects to get him. I’m hoping the Dodgers offers up a deal Arnold can’t refuse as they have both pitching and corner infield prospects that would be very enticing.

  19. I agree with your assessment on Woodruff. He just seems built to pitch effectively into his late-30s and his injury history to this point is not too concerning. I'd be very comfortable offering him a long-term extension.

  21. Well done. This is probably my favorite blueprint so far. Really like the Adames trade and love the idea of getting Diaz to play 1B.
  22. I think both the Rays and Guardians have proven you can trade frontline pitching and still be highly competitive. It's certainly a gamble whenever you're trading for prospects, but I have confidence in our scouting department.
