Yeah just saw that. Chourio was the first thing that popped into my head as well.

I wonder if the Brewers are having internal discussions on whether to promote Chourio to AAA or if they’ve already made the decision to have him play out the year in Biloxi? I’m sure his age is about the only thing still keeping him in AA at this point. Still not walking a ton but his strikeout rate has greatly improved and all of his other numbers rank amongst the best in the Southern League.

Imagine being an Angels fan. They were fairly big buyers at the deadline and have now lost 6 in a row. They’re probably going to lose Ohtani for nothing and last made the playoffs in 2014. All of this with Trout and Ohtani. What a mess.

Would like to see the top of the order look like this going forward: 1. Frelick 2. Contreras 3. Yelich 4. Santana Draw names out of a hat from there but Adames shouldn’t even be sniffing the top 4.

I can’t believe there are only a couple weeks left in the DSL and ACL leagues!

Absolutely no excuse not to score a bunch of runs in this series and possibly sweep. The Rockies are bad. Really bad. That being said, we can’t beat bad teams so buckle up.

Aren’t the Mets paying for his buyout?

I said this earlier in the thread but it wouldn’t surprise me if they have Black following a similar trajectory as Mitchell did last year. Mitchell was promoted to AAA in early August and then to Milwaukee a few weeks later. Could we see the same for Black?

Glad to see this series against Pensacola coming to an end for Biloxi. That team is TOUGH. Chourio stays hot though with a couple hits and an RBI.

That was reminiscent of a hockey fight. The umpire literally backed off and let them go at it!

Not unpopular. I just don’t think the Brewers are going to do it. I do think he’ll be in Nashville shortly to finish out the year.

Black with another day off is a little strange, especially since they’re facing a righty tonight. He just sat two nights ago.

I could see the Rangers going hard after Burnes this offseason and they have some pretty good prospects in their system, particularly pitchers. Seems to be a good match.

That baby Brewers lineup is absolutely stacked.
  16. wibadgers23
The rookies doing it all tonight!
  17. wibadgers23
He’s settled down nicely after an ugly start.
  18. wibadgers23
They’re facing a lefty tonight so could just be that but who knows. Black certainly is deserving of a promotion.
  19. wibadgers23
Great. Last time Fox carried the game was Frelick’s debut and they cut to the Twins game in the 3rd inning.

@Brock BeauchampAre we able to get the minor league game threads pinned to the top? Thanks!

I don’t think BA and Schroeder do road games anymore and BA hardly does home games. It’s probably time BA just move on.
  22. wibadgers23
As I recall, there were a number of promotions last year on or around August 2. So I would imagine any day now.
  23. wibadgers23
Baez was removed from the game after he singled and stole a base. Cripes.
  24. wibadgers23
Quite the debut for Pratt so far. He’s going to be a fast riser through the rankings.

Quite the start for Lara. Doubled and scored in the top of the 1st and then threw a runner out at home in the bottom half.
