    Huge grain of salt. As I said earlier, this makes it more likely IMO. Also, note that Doug said he hasn't talked to Kenny. That doesn't mean he hasn't talked to others, or Gord hasn't talked to Kenny, or whatever. Still, it'd be sad to not see a Gamel/Weeks/SS/Green infield next year..

    I think I read a rumor that the crazy British woman that interviewed was going to be the new manager after Spader quickly moves up. Interesting choice. To be honest, I thought it seemed like Jim was going to realize that he should be the new manager, he seemed to be sort of taking that role at the end of the finale.

    On the Brewers site earlier there was a short article titled "Swinging away key to Betancourt's success." I see that it's now been retitled "Brewers letting Yuni be Yuni." Which is too bad, because that would easily be the most unintentionally hilarious headline of the year. LINK

    I was coming here to post about Bowden's article too. I like the divisions, but the playoff expansion is dumb. Baseball should remain distinct from the other leagues where every team that's not terrible gets in. That's why you play 162 games.

    The problem is, as posted earlier, that the best choices for 2 more teams are New York, and New York. They could totally support more teams.

    Watched Moon tonight. Nice sci-fi piece with solid performance(s) by Sam Rockwell. Also saw How to Train Your Dragon recently and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    So here's a crazy thought: What if we tried to get Prince to stick around for just one extra year so that we have 2 years with him and Zack? That doesn't really have any effect on the huge deal he's going to get, and we could at least match what his first year of a new deal would be.
