  1. That is a thing of beauty. Cracked me up when it was first posted in the famous "Can Bill Hall Pitch" thread, and still cracks me up. I sure hope he has a good year this year so we can make more fun pics of Bill.
  2. I'd rather go with a Vike Ramb as opposed to a Minny Latino any day.
  3. It truly was amazing to live in San Antonio and watch my Brewers. Well worth the money. However, with a little girl coming into our family April 14th or so, I don't think it's going to be high on our financial priority list. I may get the Sports Tier and watch the FSN games when they're not blacked out. But I haven't made up my mind yet.
  4. 92-70 Braun gets his first MVP and Yo is Cy Young.
  5. Anyone checking on Bud's senility? Really? Sadly, like it or not, Bonds HAS hit more homers than Hank. What's next? Reinstating Ty Cobb as the all-time hits leader? I don't get it.
  6. I was going to say Tommy Lee Jones for Beane.
  7. I did a comparison of the 10 day forecast for San Antonio (where I currently live) vs. Sheboygan (where I used to live). It's consistently going to be in the 70's here, and today in Sheboygan the forecasted high is 57 and then over the next few days falling down to consistent 20's for highs. I'll take what I got.
  8. Ironic how the statement "Chris popped the question in June on a sunset cliff overlooking La Jolla, Calif." is under the picture of Mrs. Cappy pointing a gun. I hope that wasn't the impetus for him to pop the question! Seriously, though, congrats to Cappy. Baseball is important, but there are many more important things in life. He's one of those guys you want to root for, because he just seems like a likeable, smart guy, and has been through a lot, but doesn't let it get him down too much.
  9. Almost 80 degrees today. Man, do I love living in South Texas.
  10. I sure hope that's far from the case. These players cheated to gain an advantage and better themselves. Without steroids, does Bonds break Hank's record? They cheated, plain and simple. It's not as easy as saying, well, these other guys did it, and this guy was better. Cheating is cheating.
  11. Big difference in my mind. Pot is not performance enhancing... and it won't harm his legacy, really, in any way... A-Rod, however, is now a liar and a cheat... True, pot is not performance enhancing....still a stupid decision. That's my point. You do something stupid, stand up for it. So far with the "major" names thrown out there regarding steroids, we've gotten finger waving denials (oops Raffy), "I'm not here to talk about the past", and other denials. I'm not excusing A-Rod by any stretch. He's wrong, a cheat, and all of my thoughts regarding him have been affirmed. However, my point was that it's refreshing to hear, in a world where blame is quickly passed on to someone or something else, someone stand up and take the blame for what they've done.
  12. I just heard on the radio that he actually admitted it! WOW! I'm stunned! How far have we come from a few years ago when Jason Giambi apologized for whatever it was he did that he wouldn't specifically say, while everyone knew what he was apologizing for and now, Mr. Perception, A-Rod ADMITS taking steroids? Wow. And do you really think he took them for only 3 years? How do we know? Do we take him at his word? What worth does his word have now? It's refreshing to hear Michael Phelps and now A-Rod to take the blame for stupid decisions, but considering everyone who hasn't stood up and took their blame (I'm looking squarely at YOU Barroid and BIG Mac), it's about time.
  13. Then would that mean McClung is officially in the bullpen? I'm really hoping so. I think that's going to be a huge benefit.
  14. Tommy Thompson's brother.
  15. No one has thrown it out there yet, so I'll go ahead.....Taint McFadden?
  16. I really wouldn't mind the rotation being Yo, Parra, Bush, Soup and Wright with McClung in the bullpen. I think that's where Seth is best suited.
  17. If they're sold, maybe it will lead to better customer service. I used to have Charter and they were awful.
  18. I guess. I'd rather look up to and honor people who do productive and good things for society as opposed to make movies. It's just entertainment, not saving the world.
  19. Reason # 234,564,167,567,000 why athletes, actors/actresses, or anyone halfway considered rich or famous should not be put on a pedestal and idolized.
  20. Two words. Shawn. Respert.
  21. Actually, you can get breakfast anytime. So I'm assuming that the wait staff is wearing thermal underwear, and thick coats going in and out all the time?
  22. I'm so happy I left. I tried to find the weather in places other than Wisconsin, but it disappeared. So, I'll just share with you that it's going to be 72 today in San Antonio. Took the dog to the dog park and it was great. Tomorrow's going to be 75. It's difficult, but I'm staying tough in the weather.
  23. A couple of things on Trenni's interview with Braun....what's with his sweater? It's like camo, but with pink! Braun doesn't want to look back, but wants to look to the future. Nice. Braun says he feels comfortable now. That's quite scary in a good way. Love the discussion of plate discipline. Just overall a great interview.
